When the Chips Are Down Just Turn to God

Updated on June 19, 2016

The Chips Are Down for the Pup

Including Your Whole Life

It is good to turn everything over to God When the chips are down. In other words, when you have become depressed, so stressed and you know of no solutions to bring yourself out of it then it is okay to pray for God to come and take over your life. It is good to repent. Ask for His forgiveness for not coming to Him sooner. Ask for His Holy Spirit to guide you from now, on.

Do not Allow Satan

Do not let Satan, the thought of doing something sinful or his angels to come back into your life. Keep the focus on God, living and doing righteously. Wake up everyday with a spiritual mentality and never fall in such a rut again. Pray to God that you desire to do right in order for the right things to prevail for you. When living God's way He can simply take care of you and relieve you of your burdens while you are maintaining your responsibilities.

People Do Not Know What They Are Missing

People are missing the secretive benefits of a better life when they live outside of serving God to the fullest. People are fortunate, successful and even wealthy without serving Him but eventually, they will learn that it is not wise to live without living within The Kingdom of God. Remember, living outside of God’s Kingdom is living a risky life in Satan’s world of self-fulfillment.

Three Unique Guides

There are three unique guides that can keep a person perfectly on point to never allow the chips (mentality) to go down:

  • Reading a small magazine called: Our Daily Bread and scriptures that goes along each daily reading (no more than ten-fifteen minutes:
  • Praying to God before and after the readings
  • Sensing the Holy Spirit’s Guidance of Righteousness (doing the right things)

People of Religions, Christianity and Others

Sometimes, when the chips are down for even spiritual people it is because they have come short of having enough faith and patience for God to do what He needs to do for them. God has His reasons for the delays.

The Best Time To Give Life Over

When time the chips are down is the best time to use their God given faith and give life over to God because God will show, by comforting the mind, relieving the stress of a situation and placing the better way to cope with life. It works for many. The other side of the problem is the people’s reluctance to give up their customary past lives.

It Is God For You

Yes, my Brother. Prayer begins when human capacity ends. Again, in my experience, I do not know of anything worthwhile without the Divine. Still, Love conveys much inspiration to our brothers/sisters/mankind. As such I serve, inspire, elevate, while at the same time, doing what I can to allow space, mindful that we all carry burdens.

The inner beauty and understanding is so sweet; so beautiful! Let us strive to love one another. Much peace.

God is never late, He is always on time, His timing is perfect.

His timing is just not always our timing.

      The same with His will.

A very good word of encouragement, awesome actually!

Hi peachpurple, you should not get to the point of being stressed out before praying to God. Also, if He did answer your prayers sometimes, not all the time then think about that. Whatever you prayed for may not have been beneficial to you or all involved. Sometimes, God gives us what we pray for and it was not beneficial. Other times, He will not give us what we pray for because it may be detrimental. Sometimes, He delays giving us what we pray for because we may not be prepared for it. Thank you for stopping by here today.

Hello Ms. Tate, I love reading Our Daily Bread too. It always has a great uplifting story and scriptures that accompany it. I'm so glad to see you today. Maintaining faith is what the Bible and life are all about. You and yours have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year as well with Love :-).

I love reading the Daily bread. Very nice article and so true. We must turn to God and trust Him through the good and the bad. Sometimes when we are going through something it is hard stay strong in faith but we must; and we must keep the word in our heart because without it we are naked. I have been away for awhile doing other things. Take care and Merry Christmas and have a blessed New Year.

I always find peace and comfort when I turn my worries over to God. Even though I may take them up again, but I know I can always go back to Him, ask for His forgiveness and His help. And He gives it every time. Thanks for this great reminder.

It's always good to turn one's troubles over to God for the best result, and even better, turn one's life over to Him before trouble visits. Great thoughts!

I know for sure that I cannot even go one day without having my quiet time with the Lord and then I do talk to Him throughout the day, as I do need Him every moment of my life. Whatever is bothering me, I always take it to the Lord, and then I have such peace to fall down over me, as I truly believe once I cast my cares to Him, He is in control and I am not .... and I am so thankful for that truth. The key is to believe Him and His promises. He is our strength and our refuse in times of trouble and when things are going great. An intimate relationship with the Lord is an ongoing daily relationship. Usually, when I pray I will just praise Him for His many blessings and not ask for anything. However, when I do, I know He will provide.

      Wonderful message.

God bless you. I hope you are doing well.
