When was the last time someone confused you for Jesus?
Our actions can and do speak volumes!
When was the last time someone confused you for Jesus? Well, the answer to that one is probably never. No, not ever. Never did anyone confuse any of us for Jesus. Whether we like to admit it or not none of us are like Jesus, no not one. We really are not. His way is truly entirely different than our way. We are of the world and unfortunately for us we mostly succumb to the nature of this world. Can we even be selfless really? Even when we think we are the question remains are we truly? Our humanity ultimately gets in the way. We may not think that we even have an agenda or an inclination but we usually do sometimes not even being aware of the agenda. So I do not think that anyone is going to confuse us for Jesus. That could not, did not and will not happen. We are indeed far too human for that ever to be true. Still, the motivation and the inspiration is there. Jesus shows us by His example and by His teachings. God wants us to be like Him but we seem to always get ourselves in the way. There are moments in our life when we can come to the realization of God's love and at least make an attempt at paying it forward. Ultimately, though, we all fall so mightily short of His incredible example. Inevitably it is the driving force behind our humanity. Even on the cross suffering beyond our comprehension Jesus asks for those killing Him to be forgiven. That is the kind of savior that we all have in Jesus. He should show us judgment and condemnation but instead shows us complete mercy and grace.
So no one will confuse us for Jesus but at the same time He provides opportunity for us to always use our hearts in all situations. Our actions speak volumes about our personality, our makeup and ultimately about our belief. We are all still sinners just the same. Each and every last one of us. We indeed have the very greatest role model of all time in our Jesus.
I think that all of us are simply left with us trying to do our very best. No one will ever mistake us for Jesus. We need to always do our very best. Here are some verses on doing your best:
Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever you do in word or deed, do small in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to show thyself approved by God,a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Colossians 3:23 And whatever you do, do it heartily as to the Lord and not unto men.
Titus 3:1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but be gentle showing all meekness to all men.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
God bless always.
