As the title of the article mentions, I wonder if there are people like me out there that want more out of their films than what Hollywood typically delivers.

How many explosions and car chases do we really need to see?

How many “end of the world” movies do we have to be subjected to?

Is this a reflection of a violent people? Or is it possible that the films that speak to our hearts and souls are, out there, waiting to be found?

As more and more people wake up, they are discovering that they want more out of their films than what is typically advertised in the media.

Our souls long for something that is inspiring and uplifting. We want to feel connected to God, each other, as well as to our self.

Spiritual films give us hope. The magic that they show on the screen is a reminder of the magic and wonder that exists within us.

We can choose to ignore the “doom and gloom” that Hollywood wants us to spend our hard earned money on and direct our attention to something that is transformational.

It is very important to know that we have a choice in the manner. What we spend our money on is a vote. Why not spend your time and money on something that is valuable to your soul?

Family Friendly Films

Many of the spiritual films out there are geared for the entire family. If it is not, it will usually be indicated. Parents should do their research to make sure the film is appropriate for their child.

Some of the most memorable movies I have seen were family films!

More than Entertainment

Spiritual films go far beyond just entertaining its audience and delves into deeper material that has the potential to raise the consciousness of the individual, as well as the planet. Instead of watching films to escape reality, these powerful films spark intelligent conversations.

Where to Find Spiritual Films

When it comes to finding spiritual films, there are several options to choose from.

One can order and purchase DVDs and Blu-Ray Discs, stream films online, watch screenings at their spiritual centers, or watch the films at a cinema. A person may also choose to become a member of a spiritual film club, such as Spiritual Cinema Circle, Gaiam TV, or Hallmark Spiritclips. For those that are not interested in joining a club, you have the option of purchasing DVDs on Family TV dot com, Amazon, as well as other websites or companies that sell spiritual films. You also have the option of checking out different websites that offer reviews and listings of the best spiritual films. Of course, an individual has to exercise caution in regards to what someone considers “best,” as this will vary from person to person. At the very least, the website may point you in the right direction.

Hallmark Spiritclips offers “heart-felt family friendly movies.” They include shorts, documentaries, feature films, lectures, as well as other videos. These videos can be viewed on your computer or other digital devices. http://www.hallmarkspiritclips.com/

Spiritual Cinema Circle shares inspirational films for the heart and soul. Each month the Circle sends out a new DVD with four films. They usually contain one feature film along with shorts. Sometimes a documentary may take the place of the feature film. The Circle also offers an added bonus of unlimited access to Gaiam TV. Gaiam offer a variety of different videos for the mind, body and spirit that can be viewed on the computer or digital device. http://www.spiritualcinemacircle.com/

Gaiam TV offers an impressive amount of videos and audio to explore. The categories include personal development, spirituality, yoga, fitness, explorations, metaphysics, health and wellness, and original programming. The videos can be viewed on your computer or digital device. http://www.gaiamtv.com/

Family TV offers “family movies with family values.” The videos can be searched by specific topics, such as Kindness, Honesty, Service, Work, Respect, Courage, and Imagination. These videos are available in DVD format. http://www.familytv.com/
