Where Has All The Worship Gone?

Updated on January 7, 2013

Where Has All The Worship Gone?

Easter was always special, the church doors opened wide,

Precious little children ,Bible in hand, stepped inside.

Loving parents would let their burdens and duties lay.

This day was a time for joy because this was Easter Day!

Stores were never open that day ,that was never done.

This was a Day of celebration, ,the Rising of God's Son..

How did we forget the reason? It hasn't been that long.

Now colored eggs and bunny rabbits all seem so wrong!

We've taken Christ out of Christmas, it is now toy day

We look around in sorrow ,wonder why our children stray.

If they could only believe then they would understand

The God Who seems so far away is really near at hand.

We're losing our Thanksgiving, It's now a turkey day.

We must reach the people's heart, there must be a way.

We can take the child to church ,lead him by the hand

But each must give his heart to reach God's Holy Land.

Where has all the worship gone?We need it back again.

It disappeared when we gave the devil the rein to sin.

To me the Sabbath Day of peace is what we all need.

A day of peace and love with which our soul can feed.

We take them to church but we can't melt a heart of stone..

Only Jesus has that Power and only Jesus and He alone.

Our prayer can bring down Power that nothing else can

But Christ Jesus in His Mercy can save the fallen man !

I guess some people call this progress but I fail

to see it that way. What was wrong with the way

life was back a few years ago?People went to

church as family and Sunday was a day of rest.

Anymore there is no rest considered , too many

other things to do .The day of a peace filled

Sunday seems to have long been forgotten.

It seems if we would go back to those days

there would be a lot less stress in our lives.

Why don't we try it and see if you aren't more

relaxed on your week days? Just an idea. clara

Thank you, MsDora, for your comment. Yes , we do need to fellowship with other Christians and there is no better time to get together with them than on the Sabbath day.Good to hear from you . love, Clara

It's true. We need our Sabbaths for worship and fellowship with God and each other. Worship underscores our need for God's involvement in our lives. You made some very relevant point, Clara. Thanks!

Thanks ,Blossom, we all need rest at times , especially in these hectic days we are living in . It is so hard to believe all of the changes that has been made in the last years, sorry to say most of them are not for good or for GOD. He has been left out of most everything anymore, people think they don't need God , thank you ,they can do all right by themselves. They may need Him some day and not be able to find Him. love, Clara

That is so true. Even when people go to church then they rush off afterwards to do the shopping. There seems to be no time for a day of rest and we need it, we were made that way. Even God took a day of rest after creating the world.
