Who is Psychic?

Updated on March 16, 2020

The word psychic has different connotations. Is it something mental, magical, scientific, supernatural, etc...? It does not necessarily mean that a person who says they are psychic can automatically tell the future or read your mind or is evil in some way. It just means that they have a more open mind in the sense that they can perceive information that are typically hidden from others. More than likely they look and act just like a normal person. Chances are you know someone like that and don't even know it.

You Have To Be Special Right?

So, is it just a special hand full of people who possess these abilities? No, it isn't. It is my belief that everyone possesses the abilities, they just have to know how to find it and use it. You need to have an open mind, open heart, confidence, and patience. It took me a while to trust that what I was getting was real and not just my imagination. Look for validation on things, you will usually get it in some form or another. Don't be afraid to take that leap and try it out.

Steps to Develop Your Own Abilities.

How can you develop your own abilities?

  • Meditate, you have to learn to quiet the mind, and listen
  • Invite the Divine Spirits, Angels, and Spirit Guides to help you.
  • Practice a specific skill (channeling, automatic writing, reading cards: I'll go step by step with these later)
  • Be patient
  • Practice, practice, practice
  • Trust your instinct, don't second guess yourself

Psychic Kids

While some have to work at developing their abilities. Some, have always had them. Have you ever noticed how kids seem to have a special sense? Imaginary friend? Seem to know more than they should? They could be psychic. In fact, some kids might be more sensitive, but due to society, may just hide it and block it out as they get older. A few signs:

  • They seem to know things they shouldn't
  • They claim to talk/see people who aren't there
  • They seem to have an old soul
  • They have imaginary friends
  • They have a compassion that isn't quite normal for a child.

How to encourage them where they will not bury it deep within them.

  • Encourage them
  • Don't act scared or like they are crazy
  • Even if you don't believe, listen to them.
  • Make sure you or anyone else makes them feel alienated
  • Expose them to metaphysics, paranormal, and other psychics.

These are just a few examples and can go into a lot more detail.

What area of psychic development would you be interested in learning more about?

Thanks for reading! It can be disheartening, but you have to not give up, you'll get there! I've stopped and started a few times in the past few years. However, you finally get to a point where you can't go back. Again, let me know if you would like to see something more specific or need more info about something!

I also agree that everyone of us is psychic, though the effort required in awakening ourselves can be disheartening. I'd love to open myself, though I admit to be lazy at times. I'll just have to make a better effort. :)

Thank you for reading and commenting! I agree, we are all capable of so much. It seems like it basically boils down to mindset.

Hmm ... you have not left me much to say. Short and to the point - I agree with what you wrote.

I think we are all able to do many things, it is just that most people do not even attempt at trying ... some even deny the possibility of an action and thus they deny themselves the opportunity for that action (whatever that may be).

Thank You for writing this. Cheers!
