Why do Christians Quit

Why do so many people profess to be followers of Christ but then after a few years grow cold and fall away? Why do some pastors get burned out and quit after many years?

Here we will look at the reasons and the cures.

We have articles on most anything that you do not understand. Everything is always FREE, NO MONEY changes hands in the real church of Jesus Christ. Feel free to ask for material on anything you need to understand according to scripture.

Please Read this Before we Begin. Here we teach scriptural truths that are not taught most places. These are essential truths that you cannot be a real disciple of Christ without properly understanding.

Because of this fact you must follow the scripture “do not be deceived my beloved brethren” and see that YOU are not deceived. In order to not be deceived you must not believe what I or any other man wants to teach you unless and until it has been confirmed in scripture and by the Holy Spirit of God to you Personally as Truth. That is your responsibility no matter who is teaching you.

Who is Jesus and what is His place in this age?

Is christian a proper name for a follower of Christ?

Is there more than one way to become a follower of Christ?

Is there a particular church that you must be a part of to be a christian?

Which doctrines are requires and which are optional?

What part of the previous age is brought into this age?

According to the Actual Scripture, who is Jesus?

In the creation account, Gen 2:1, God finished creating. Every thing He wanted was finished and He has declared it is good. After this nothing new would be created by God. He had made a way for all things that He wanted to be continued to be made, by seed. The only way after the creation for a man to come forth on the earth would be through the womb of a woman, So in the course of time, God implanted a seed in the womb of Mary, making a man child. Being as He came forth from the womb of a woman he was born a man such as we are and God was His father. He IS NOT GOD, He is the SON OF GOD as He Himself testifies.

Matt 1:18-23

¹⁸Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. ¹⁹Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. ²⁰But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. ²¹And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus , for He will save His people from their sins."

²²So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: ²³"Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,"^*which is translated, "God with us."

What is Jesus place in this Age of Man?

Jesus, if you understand scripture, is the Savior that has been Promised to Abraham and all man since Him. He is come to give us the opportunity to redeem the eternal life that Adam forfeited by his disobedience in the garden.

John 10:7-10

⁷Then Jesus said to them again, "Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. ⁸All who ever came before Me^*are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. ⁹I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. ¹⁰The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

God has given away ALL of His authority for this age, He has delegated it to Jesus His son until the judgment, when Jesus returns it to Him and sits down at His right hand in submission to Him. This means that Jesus is acting in God's place until the day of the pouring out by God of His wrath. Yes, according to scripture God pours out His wrath, not Jesus, as many falsely teach.

JESUS IS NOT GOD but until the judgment He is is acting in God's stead, in effect He is God of this age. That is why He is called Lord. That is why Thomas called Him when he recognized Him, my Lord and my God. Thomas really understood who Jesus is.

Matt 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

1 Cor 15:20-28 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming. 24 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. 27 For "He has put all things under His feet." But when He says "all things are put under Him," it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. 8 Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all

things under Him, that God may be all in all.

Another point to be seen and understood here is the meaning of this phrase that appears in scripture but few people understand its meaning. “The God that is and was and is to come”. This scripture is simple to understand once you understand the ages of man, and the above scripture.

In the beginning until the law was given to Israel God was God. But when the law was Given, God delegated His authority to the Priests and prophets for their age. In effect even though He was God He was not, during that age interacting directly with the people, they had to come to Him through the priesthood. In effect He was not God to the people of Israel during that age he was God but not acting God because He had given (delegated) ALL of His authority and power to the clergy of the the age...

You might want to read the reason that he gave them the clergy and kings etc. God wanted to be their king and God but they demanded He give them men. So since He could not convince them He gave them their desire, as punishment and it cost them the chance to be His chosen people, they chose not to choose Him and so broke their blood covenant with Him. so He did not choose them.

When Jesus came he became the stand-in for God to whosoever will follow Him His way. When this age, the age of the rule of Christ ends at the judgment, God will then be God directly to His people for eternity and all others will be destroyed by the pouring out of the wrath of God, the second and final death (cast into the lake of Fire.)

At the point in time that Jesus returns all authority to God this scripture is fulfilled. God was God until the law, then the clergy became God for the age of Israel, then when Jesus fulfilled the law and ended that age the age of His rule began and Jesus is God until the judgment when God receives back His authority and will NEVER delegate it to anyone again for eternity. This makes God “the God who was and is and is to come, He will become God (the only God) for eternity at the judgment.

Most professing to be christians do not understand the ages of man especially this new and different age in which we live and the place of Christ in it. This you must correctly understand in order to walk with Christ and not fall away,

We are living in the age of Christ's rule, He is Lord in this age and the only way to get to God. Scripture says He is THE mediator, the ONLY man between man and God, no other can write your name in His book of life which God will use to Judge you at the judgment. It also says He is the only Shepherd in this age.

When Jesus took over after His resurrection ALL things became NEW. NOTHING was kept of the previous age of the Israelites. Jesus instituted a new way of doing everything in relationship to God. Carnal (apostate man) do not understand who Jesus really is (they falsely teach He is God). They do not understand the delegation of Power that took place on the day of Pentecost when Jesus brought in a totally new age and way of interaction between man and God, All things became new and NOTHING from previous ages was part of the new.

As when becoming a new creation in Christ after being born again, so everything to become a child of God is new.

In the previous age only natural born Hebrews (with very few exceptions) were able to be the family of God (Israel). But in this age, through Christ the door was opened to those of any and all nations to become God's people, now that that the nation of Israel forfeited that honor by not fulfilling the blood covenant they had made with God. In this age of the rule of Christ all that will come to Jesus His way and do all He requires of them are to be the people of God. . Today the church system does not teach these truths so most people do not understand them. That is why it is necessary to study scripture for yourself and to follow the directions of Christ Himself if you profess to follow Him. As Lord of this age He sets the rules.

1 Tim 2:5-6 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, ⁶who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time,

John 10:15-18 As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd. 17 "Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. 18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father."

Since Jesus has been delegated all the authority and power of God for this age He now sets the rules for becoming a son of God and we must look at HIS rules as they are the only rules that apply in this age.

The church system of man claims to be the purveyor of christianity. And that they are, they do not teach , nor are they authorized by Christ to make disciples of Christ. In fact they have no connection to God. Their gospel is different in each of their divisions. I have yet to find one of their “churches” that includes All of Christ' doctrines as theirs or that does not add their man made additions, Proof = go online and read their statement of faith and I challenge you to find one of the 40,000 plus of them that claim the doctrines of Christ alone as theirs. They have chosen a correct term in naming their followers (disciples of man), christians. If you will study the origin of the word, which appears only three times in scripture and is never given as a proper name for a disciple of Christ. It was used as a slur against the disciples of Christ by the people of Antioch that hated Him and them.

Where the church of Jesus Christ CAN HAVE NO DIVISIONS, and fully subscribes to ONLY and ALL of the doctrines of Christ, the church system of man brags of their many divisions, which they claim to be of God. Yet in fact they are those that Christ warned us would come to deceive us. They are in reality the tabernacle of satan.

Now we must look at the word mistranslated in most bibles as “Commanded”. This has given these false teachers the ammunition they use to just Pick and choose what doctrines of Christ they choose to keep. The word means enjoined. IT does mean all that He taught them, showed them by example or in any way meant for them to follow Him. It is one of many errors that is found in the popular bibles used the leaders of the church system.

NT:1291 diastellomai (dee-as-tel'-lom-ahee); middle voice from NT:1223 and NT:4724; to set (oneself) apart (figuratively, distinguish), i.e. (by implication) to enjoin:

Here are the erroneous kjv and other bible mistranslations

KJV - charge, that which was (give) commanded (-ment).

Here in His own words are what Christ says is required of ALL that will be HIS Disciples.

Matt 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

First we know we must repent and be born again.

Then to become a child of God according to Jesus, the Lord and keeper of His book of life for this age, you must ALSO do the following. Be Baptized by immersion in water to circumsize your hard carnal heart to allow it to accept the things of God. Col 2:11

Then be baptized in the Holy Spirit of God to make you of one Spirit with God and Christ and all the other real sons of God. This also gives you access to all truth that is possessed ONLY by the Holy Spirit of God the creator.

And then you MUST do ALL that Jesus requires of you according to scriptures and as the Holy Spirit leads you. And then endure to the end.

In other words you must be transformed from a carnal human to a Spiritual person.

There is NO other way to walk with God available in this the final age of man..

Why Then do People Fall Away

Simply because there are few real disciples of Christ today. And there are NONE in the churches of man. Most people believe the lie that you must attend “church” and you need a pastor to teach you. And there are some that even teach you need a personal prophet and other lies. And you can see from the above that is not true. The scriptures of the new testament make it clear that there is no such thing as a “church system with men rulers” in this age. That is the system that Jesus warns us about, the apostate man that will come in His name to lead you astray. That is why He tells us to “do not be deceived” several times and gives us their character and means they will use to deceive us.

Jesus Christ is the ONLY ruler and He sets ALL the rules. Scripture declares that you have no need of a man to teach you if you are a real disciple of Christ because that means you are filled with and following the One Spirit that unites and leads the real church of Jesus Christ which is a Spiritual people, all of the one same Holy Spirit of God and His Christ. Only disciples of Christ are sons of God.

IN Other Words those that follow the rules of man found in Any and All churches of the man made system have become disciples of that “church” of man and are not of God in the first place, so there is no way they can avoid falling away as their works are of the flesh and not of of the Spirit.

They are taught to be carnal, to follow man, to serve their “pastor”, where disciples of Christ are taught by the holy Spirit to follow the man Christ.

ONLY those that follow CHRIST ALONE can become disciples of Christ and members of the real Spiritual church of Jesus Christ. No Flesh can be allowed there.

DO NOT misunderstand me, there are those (few) that are still finding their way to the Eternal Kingdom that have not completely removed themselves from the church system but they are being led to all truth by their desire for truth at any cost and Jesus will not let them perish as they search for all truth. Most places they are considered freaks, rebels and other such things but they are the real sons of God and will do all He requires of them because they follow JESUS and NOT MAN. There is only one way for anyone to be saved in the day of the pouring out of the wrath of God, having the desire for all truth and pursuing Christ and the Holy Spirit until you have met ALL of His requirements and become a son with your name written in the Lamb's book of Life. Jesus tells us in the beginning, “ if you follow Me the world will hate you”. The church system of man is of the world and makes christians. It is the synagogue of satan. They hate You if you are Spiritual.

WHO DO YOU FOLLOW? Man? Christ? Will you fall away or will you remain?
