Why Do the Heathen Rage Against God?

Gary loves the Lord and writes articles that uplift and inform Christians about the world we all live in.

Israel fits in the county I used to live within, Aroostook County

Israel is 90 miles wide and 120 miles long. Is giving up more land to their enemies a good idea? Common sense, obviously missing, is hard to apply to this sticky subject. But all nations are coming against Israel including the U.S.

America is in a Moral and Ethical Freefall.

America and the world are changing fast like never before. It is estimated that we double secular knowledge every 8 months. Is it bringing a safer and less threat to the world? No. Prove me wrong on this conjecture. There are a number of signs of the times in the world. (Luke 17:26-30) These are possibly the last warning signs from a benevolent and loving God.

Israel is in the land and Jerusalem is the capital of the Jewish nation which is still surrounded by her enemies and opposed by almost every nation in the world as the Bible said it would. The Church, the body of Christ, the believers worldwide, is in the world with an estimated 2 billion followers according to latest statistics. There is a number when reached the actions of God are going to happen very fast in the world. (Romans 11.25)

The problem with a majority of those that call themselves Christians there is not any discernable difference between the person who is not a Christian and the one that is a Christian. Why is this? Many have taken the step of accepting Jesus Christ as Savior but have never grown beyond this point and accepted Jesus as Lord with Him on the seat of their heart. Otherwise they are just false conversions. 2 Corinthians 3.17 and 18 states a Christian should be about the business of being conformed to the image of Jesus Christ.

You will recall what Martin Luther did with Habakkuk 2.4 in his 95' thesis when he hung the thesis on the door of Wittenberg Cathedral? It started the Biblical Renaissance that has changed our world. I used another Old Testament verse, Psalm 2.1-3, in my undergraduate thesis. Without what Martin Luther did we might be still living in darker ages than we currently do. When you read this article perhaps you will do some additional study on your own and come to your own conclusion.

Dr. Chuck Colson has said, "We are in an ethical mess today because we as a society have embraced relativism and abandoned truth and moral certitude. We have bought the modern myth that life is all about us and our desires. We’ve lost the restraints of conscience and have abandoned the understanding of right and wrong that has been the foundation of Western ethics."

America and the Middle East have much in common in this regard. The majority of populations in both have perhaps unknowingly turned their back on the knowledge of the true God. That is quite a claim about regions that have so much religion.

It is my contention that religion is man's attempt to reach God (abbreviated MATRG). Jesus detested the hypocrisy of religion in His short time on the earth. So should we.

The Word of God is so evident in its plea to believe by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ it should be obvious. Even a casual reading can discern this. Creation and the sciences in the world today scream for a Creator although they are blind to the truth.

Godless science disagrees. Our body created by God is a masterpiece of complexity. It evolved, but it could not have been created by evolution. DNA/RNA contains the sugar deoxyribose, while RNA contains the sugar ribose, which is loaded with information about each individual cells nearby, is the final nail in evolution. With this in mind, let us explore the subject of turning one's back on God.

I am an educator at a small university that nurtures tomorrow's preachers, evangelists, educators, and missionaries. I challenge you to investigate and have fun exploring the infinite Word of God. A lifetime is too short to scratch even the surface of this amazing document. If you need my help when you begin to study drop me an email through the email link above.

I invite your positive feedback on each and every essay or article written by me and others. I appreciate your feedback and comments. Thank you and God's blessings.

Psalm 2.1-3

David asked, "Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, "Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us." Psalm 2:1-3

Our society has done just that. The so-called humanist who are the gods of relativity rage against everything that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob stands for. God laughs at their audacity at this time. Soon He will be their judge.

He creates out of nothing; by simply speaking things into existence. What can they do? Take millions of those who like sheep led over a cliff straight on their uninvestigated blindness to hell.

Even a casual reading of this verse will bring one to the point of stating it could depict America in the midst of a moral and ethical free fall where everyone without Christ is “doing what is right in their own eyes.” (Judges 21.25)

The Humanist Manifesto has accomplished much of what it set out to achieve. Does this verse sound like today? Never has there been more immorality than today. Our breaking of the bonds of morality has led to the acceptance of sin as normal. It is not in the eyes of God. We are inviting judgment from the Almighty.

Take for example the U.S. Supreme Court which has consistently ruled against the commonsense Bible since 1965 in original rulings, legislation by adjudication, designed not to offend those who do not believe.

The Supreme Court decisions removed the Word of God from secular education and the public forum which has had a powerful downturn influence on moral behavior. The results of these rulings have contributed to infanticide, casual sex, school shootings, murder by vehicle and ignorant educated graduates devoid of knowledge of their Creator.

God takes this personally. (Romans 1.15-32) One estimate says we have sacrificed 57 million souls by infanticide through abortion since the 1973 legalization in the United States. It is immoral to stand by when you know something is wrong and do nothing.

In many cases, it is also against the civil law to do so. Why were people not using birth control? Abortion is America's birth control. Why are the Christians of America not screaming for the overturning of Roe vs. Wade?

We have aborted our future in America to the god of convenience. A New York Times story lists the percentage of abortions due to rape, incest, or the life of the mother as less than 1 percent of total abortions.

It is also important to note that abortions due to rape, incest, or the life of the mother were never illegal before the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision to legalize abortion on demand.

A note of good news: the number of abortions has dropped in America. The abortion rate is at the lowest point since 1973. Perhaps God has open the eyes of many to the atrocity this is? I sincerely hope so.

PC is the SWAT of Free Speech

Political Correctness Mocks the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Political correctness (PC), a major objective of the Humanist Manifesto, is in place in all facets of our society, including in many of the churches worldwide. It is accepted as normal, it is not. The Humanist Manifesto envisions a world without God.

Those that embrace their relativity detest the Word of God. Secular Humanism thumbs its nose at God and is well established in all facets of governmental, educational, industrialism, and even many church branches in the United States.

There is a tremendous difference between Secular Humanism and a real Humanist. Jesus Christ was the example of authentic Godly Humanism. God takes the relativist skepticism personally. God has been removed by the liberal courts of America from the classroom and the public forum and has been replaced by relativity for which we are paying dearly.

Are you afraid to display your love and allegiance to the Lord Jesus Christ? The Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Bible can never become mixed with any other religion. Jesus said, “I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life; No one comes to the Father except through Me.” Jesus told this to Thomas who was not a doubter, any more than you and I.

The arts mock God and Jesus Christ as ancient myths and are funded by our tax dollars through the U.S. government. Another major goal of the Humanist Manifesto, our youth are taught under the guise of academic freedom to lose the bonds of their parent's religion and the error-filled Bible and embrace bad science instead.

Then we wonder why the youth of today have abandoned the Word of God and salvation through Jesus Christ. You mean you can believe in vain? “Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hears my voice and open the door, I will come to him and will sup with him, and he with me.” (Revelation 3:20)

I have a question about this verse that goes against how it is often used in churches. Why is Jesus Christ standing at the door and knocking to get into His Church? After all, He is the Chief Cornerstone. (see Ephesians 2.20)

The letter written to the Laodicean Churches as well as prophetically forward to the apostate Church of our day is why He is standing outside. Jesus should already be inside through the available Holy Spirit enlivening our dying churches.

Both Paul and Peter preached the Gospel every time they spoke on behalf of the Word of God, “Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the Gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you were saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you – unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

That is the Gospel that Paul and Peter preached and the Holy Ghost won thousands to Jesus Christ!
