Why the Catholic faith is true
I grew up going to a Baptist Church and fondly remember going to church with my parents. We would do communion about once a month, But I didn't know the true meaning of it. All I knew was that it had to do something about Jesus. But as a kid I still loved it. I had many Catholic friends. But They never really said anything to me about there faith.. We were usually too busy playing. When I got older I started to ask a lot of questions about Catholic and other faith because I knew there was more to Jesus and the bile then what I was being told by the Pastor and other people at the Baptist church, adults in my life told many things about the Catholic Faith. I was being told that they were evil and that they were a cult. I was told that I would go to hell if I would ever become Catholic. As I look back, I realize most of it was due to people not really knowing about the Catholic Church.
I didn't go to Church for a long time, because I didn't know what was true at that time. But even though I was starting to go away from God, God chose to touch my heart, open my eyes, and lead me to the Catholic Faith.
My family says that they don't put down any kind of faiths and always said that it is my choice to what my belief are, But I can tell that deep down that they don't like my choice. They also came to me and as me why we worship Mary. My answer is we don't worship Mary. My ask her to pray for us and to take our concern to God.
God is the only one that we worship. A lot of people take everything that wrong way, Because of the way we do things. Really we do thing same things that they did back in the time of Jesus. And the way we do it was never meant to be changed. That is why I call all the other Christian faiths watered down. That don't mean that the are going to hell, It just means that they don't do it the way it was meant to be done. I think everyone that has a belief in Jesus Christ, and put there trust in him will go to heaven.
So back to the point of what our beliefs are. We believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirt. We believe that Jesus is Gods only begotton son of God, who died on the cross for our sins. Mary is the Mother of God. Who lived with no sin. The reason we call her the mother of God is because She carried our Lord Jesus Christ. When she died, her whole body when to heaven. They is a lot more to what our beliefs are that I will get to another time.
So this is why I became Catholic and why the Catholic Church is the only true church. So I hope I didn't bore you to much and I hope to get to more details about it all later.
