Purpose of our life

Updated on July 20, 2015
Why I am here on this earth
Why I am here on this earth

Purpose of my existance

We all are blessed with a New year. Many of our friends and relatives couldn't make it to see the bright morning of this New year. Many of us are busy with making new year resolutions. That is good. Some are not bothered to make any resolution. They are continuing with the life as usual. That is their way of life. But I just wanted to ask one question. Have you ever thought why we are here in this earth? If you look around, having this question in your mind, you will see many people living for different reasons. I would like to remind you that we are her in this earth not for the following:

We are here not to fight.

If you carefully look at people around you, you will tempt to believe by their actions that they are born in this earth for fighting.  Wherever they go, they will find reasons to fight.  Fight with parents, fight with children, fight with spouse, fight with colleagues, fight with neighbors, fight with fellow passengers etc. ( I am not saying you should not fight at all.  Healthy and just fights are needed.)  Fighting on a daily basis will not give any peace or happiness in life.  We need to learn to live peace fully.  Look for ways to live a life without fight.  Amicably and peacefully solve our problems with our adversaries. We are not here to kill and covet.

We are here not to suffer.

By the actions of some other people, we believe that they are here for suffering.  Suffering from boss, colleagues, spouse, children, parents etc.  Wherever they go, whatever they do, they will be suffering from that.  Suffering from illness is the cause of some other people.  We are not here to suffer from our adversaries.  We are here to live a happy life.  We can avoid many of the sufferings by choice.  Healthy eating can prevent us from many of the bodily disorders.  Eat just what is required for your body.  I noticed old people who eat food items just because, if they are not eating it, it will get spoiled the other day.  So what they have prepared must be be finished, even though it is not required for that day.  They eat it.  I think it is better to waste (Don't waste, give it someone who needed it)  than to eat and suffer latter.  Eating so much salty or sugar coated food make us fell ill.  We need to remember that prevention is better than cure.  If you are not doing any physical work, eat less i.e. what is needed.  Control your desire to eat.  Over eating cause our body to suffer with illness.  More sugar and more salt and more fat are harmful to our body.  Eat wisely and lead a healthy and happy life. We are not here to suffer.

There are a lot of things which are not the aim of our life in this earth. Some are mentioned below.  You can identify the things for which you are not in this earth and complete the list...

We are not here to live a drunkard life.
We are not here to cheat
We are not here to abuse
We are not here to steal
We are not here to mess up our relations
We are not here to commit adultery
We are not here to covet anything that belongs to your neighbor

Why are we here on earth? - "The Restoration of All Things." The restoration of all things is the plan of God for human kind.

It is going to be accomplished by the glorified sons of God, and the family of God, through Jesus Christ. All things in Heaven and all things in Earth are going to be "restored" to it's original condition [before Sin entered into the world]. In Ephesians 1:10 it is revealed that God: "...might gather together in one ALL THINGS in Christ , both which are in Heaven and which are on Earth. This message is revealed to man in the Holy Bible through Jesus Christ whom the Heavens must receive until the time of RESTITUTION of ALL things which God has spoken by the mouth of all His Holy prophets, since the world began (Acts 3:21). Check it out yourselves and believe the word of God. It is all there for man to see, if you can see, that is.

The best part of your hub is where you have written what we are not here for.

I like the way you said we are to live peace fully. Peace with our bodies and in our minds. You have set some good examples of restoration for our minds and bodies. Restoring our temples. Thank you.

Excellent resolutions. I would add one more: We are not here to hate ourselves. When people are unhappy with who or what they are, they project and begin to hate others. If you need to improve something about yourself, DO IT!

You certainly covered some important things that give our life purpose. Treating others the way we want to be treated will give you much pleasure in life.
