Wings of Eagles

Updated on April 4, 2010

Sometimes when we are waiting for answered prayer we become weary.  The bible says if we wait upon God he will renew or strength.  I believe he will renew our faith as well.  In a world with instaneous products and all the technology, we expect answers instantly too.  We as a society are not used of waiting for anything.

Isaiah 40:30-31 (KJV)

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Good thought. That is one of my favorite verses. I have leaned on it during many difficult times, including my experience with melonoma over 20 years ago. My other favorite is more related to business and employment matters these days. It is "For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind." Good hub.

This is my mother's favorite verse in the Bible. I had two brothers who died of MD. It has always been her dearest hope that they are now with the Lord, running, walking and soaring - something they could never do on earth. Peace.

Thank you, I'm glad you like it. I might edit it and add more because I thought of so many things after.
