Without Him ... Our sin would stick to us like glue.
One thing that all of us have in common is our sin. We are indeed born to be sinners. From day one we begin to sin and seem to thrive on perfecting it. Each and every one of us is a sinner and it can take us so very far from God. It rally does. We are born into it. The one and only answer for sin is Jesus Christ. Without Jesus our sin sticks to us like glue and the premise of none is good no not one becomes a real manifestation of what humanity and mankind is all about. Just look around you at the world each and every day. God provides the answer for our sin through the salvation from Jesus Christ. We needed a savior. He loves us and He saves us. He becomes as the Bible says the propitiation for our sin. We have a savior and He alone is the answer. He alone is the lamb worthy of substitute. He has taken our sin from us and He has been victorious. It does not get any better than that. No matter what your sin is He takes it away and God says He will remember your sin no more. Man is erred and flawed and will always break his promises but God always keeps His promises. What an incredible blessing that He is to us. Jesus says I am the way, the truth and the life. No one come to the Father except through Me.
Imagine if you will that your sin is a debt that no matter what you do you cannot ever repay. It actually only grows larger and larger leaving you with a feeling of ultimate hopelessness. If we were to really get what we deserve and what we reap then we would all be doomed to Hell for eternity. We would actually receive the justice and the judgment that we deserve. Yet, God wants and chooses to show us His incredible mercy. Once again a mercy that we do not deserve. He makes it so very easy on us that all we really have to do is receive His justice and mercy through the substitute of our savior, Jesus Christ. He is our incredible gift from God given with undying love. It should make us as humble as can be for none is righteous ... No not one. Here are some verses regarding sin:
James 4:17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.
John 4:10 Jesus answered and said to her, " if you knew the gift of God, and Who it is who says to you, give me a drink, you would have asked Him and He would have given you living water."
Isaiah 64:6 But we are all like a unclean thing, and all our righteousness are like filthy rags; we all fade as a leaf, and our inequities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
Isaiah 43:1 Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine.
God bless always.
