Woe to the Jews for they killed God.

Updated on July 23, 2011

Woe unto the Jews for they crucified God.

After the bible was compiled, one of the problems the early church faced was the status of Jesus. That is they needed to know where to place him in their doctrine. That gave rise to the doctrine of the trinity among others. However, as time went on oppositions came in and some Christians disagreed in the trinity. There is still disagreement till today.

Jesus called himself. “the son of man” “ the son of God” “ I and my father are one” “ my father is greater than I” consequently that has caused confusion about what to belief among Christians so people just choose any one they like and teach that it is the final word. After all it is the word of God. The only gospel that came close to explaining the meaning of the expressions used by Jesus is the Gnostic gospel and their teaching. However, little is known about the Gnostic Christians in this generation and it seems their teachings are not used in the open because it is more mystical than the known Christian teaching. Some people claim that the early Christians were Gnostics and their teach was based on the divine spark which can be awaken and by so doing a son of man can become a son of God and as one with God.

Even Jesus said to the people “is it not written in your scriptures ye are gods.” That was when they wanted to condemn him for making himself equal to God. So it means the people had the ability to be gods but they did not know it. Some people still teach today that it is still possible for a common man to be transformed but that is for those that belief in mystery.

The main point in this article is that Christians are still not in agreement about the status of Jesus.

Is Jesus the son of God or is Jesus God?

It is written, for God so love the world that he sent his only begotten son. But some people seem to say that for God so love the world that he came to the world. Which do we choose? Some people have wondered, is it impossible for God to save this world even after he came to be killed or he sent his son to be killed?

We may not be certain of some thing but it remains that if actually Jesus is God then woe to the Jews for they crucified God and they still do not know it.

Well Dave, I understand that you say what you believe and think you know. Jesus is not the only person that lived and claimed to be God. The Jews killed him and they do not believe his spirit or body resurrected because they did not see him and only few claimed he resurrected so they killed him but we know God can't be killed like you said but that is what it means yet the world has not known true peace after that. We can make any claim and anyone can believe it or not so we can claim to be God, his son etc

David: Excuse me! Nobody but nobody can kill God. The human fleshly body known as Jesus truly was crucified and died, but the spiritual Jesus and that body became resurrected by God. When Jesus told the people that the scriptures said that they, the people are gods. In a round about way Jesus speaks the truth for man was created in the image of God, therefore spiritually speaking, man appears like God.

Jesus is both God and the "Son of God" Jesus and the Father are one God simply two persona, just like you have several personalities that others witness, God can be witnessed in more than one personality.
