Worship Music To Get You Through the Pandemic
Worship and praise are different
Many churches today are filled with praise music. The songs that get you on your feet and dancing, What many believers do not understand is that there is something so spiritually unique about worship. Praise music makes you dance, motivates and keeps you moving, Worship music move the Lord to dwell strongly within His people. I've shared in other articles that I had two very special worship expertness in my life. I was part of an intercessory prayer team where His presence would show up with only a few people. One morning there were six of us. Worship music was playing and all we could do was lie in the floor, silent before Him because our Creator had come into the building in a special way. On another occasion it was after the benediction on a Sunday. The majority of the 300 plus parishioners had left or were leaving the building. There were about 25 people who remained in the sanctuary. The praise team was singing We Exalt Thee and men began going to the altar to kneel. The sanctuary became hazy as the glory of the Lord filled the place. There really are no words to explain this type of worship, but you can experienced it.
I have heard people lamenting that they cannot partake in corporate worship because they can no longer attend church, In John chapter 4, Christ told the woman at the well that the location did not matter and that our Heavenly Father is seeking true worshipers to worship Him in spirit and in truth. You can listen to worship music in your vehicle and in the privacy of your own home. The level of His presence will be as strong as the worship in the music and your level of desire for Him. Listen to the songs that accompany this hub and just open your heat and let Him in. Once you get a feel for true worship you can find your own songs that draw His glory to you.
Exalt Him higher
Praise music gets the body moving and shakes off whatever may have hindered you. Some people need this before they can enter into true worship. Others can hear a few chords of a worship song and they are there instantly. As you watch these video's please take notice of the expression on the faces, the joy, the tears and happiness. Pay attention to how the singers and musicians are singing themselves as well as others into exalting Him higher. When the focus is on Him rather than you getting your praise on, He begins to move. He will be the source of your strength and the strength of your life as you life your hands in total surrender.
I love You Lord, I lift my voice to worship You, Oh my soul rejoice.
Take joy my King in what You hear, let it be a sweet sweet sound in Your ear,
Consider today if the sound you produce is sweet to His ear or only your own.
Reverence Him, the Son of the living God
Too many so called gospel songs today are selfishly motivated by the greed of man. They no longer come from hearts that just want to be in His presence. Consider some of the lyrics: Bless me indeed, I'm gonna get my blessing right now, It's my season, Won't He do it. (This is usually when someone gets a car, a new house or becomes engaged.) Nothing in those lyrics talks about the precious blood of Jesus or exalts His Name.
There is a fountain filled with blood drawn from Emanuel's veins. And sinners plunged beneath the flood loose all their guilty stains. Who is He, he is the Son of the living God, I'm talking about Jesus Christ the Holy One. Plunge into worship of Him to day.
Shout your worship to the Lord
I consider Darleen Zecht and Michael W Smith two of the most anointed worship leaders ever. His song Angus Dei, (Worthy is the Lamb) and her Shout to the Lord move my spirit as no other songs. I found a video by accident where the two were in concert together and singing both songs. I considered this double prizes and a bonus from the Lord.I now share it so others dealing with pandemic stress or other situations can experience His glory for themselves.
He deserves itteachin
On WWE wrestling there is a chant from the audience of "You deserve it" over and over with clapping in between. Keep this in mind because He alone deserves the glory, and the honor. We need to lift our hands in worship and bless His Holy Name. There is no one else like Him, and He deserves it!!! There are several versions of You deserve the glory on this video so make sure you listen to them. There are times when we don't need someone else motivating, encouraging, teaching and preaching to us. Sometimes we just need to be still in His presence, worship Him and know that He is God-Jehovah, Elohim.
Keep a Hallelujah on your lips
When you are feeling down just begin telling Him you love Him, He is worthy, and always have a Hallelujah coming out of your mouth. This is something spiritual and the secular world does not have it. The celebrities and sports figures can give advise night and day about how to deal with the pandemic, but this is the missing ingredient that is needed. Total surrender and true worship to the Lord.
