“you Are One Person Away from Making or Breaking Your Destiny” Part 3

Updated on May 27, 2015

The biblical law of effectiveness in relationship declares that anyone out of place will be out of position

The word position means

1.

a place where someone or something is located or has been put.

synonyms: location, place, situation, spot, site, locality, setting, area; More

2.

a particular way in which someone or something is placed or arranged.

synonyms: posture, stance, attitude, pose

Samson was out of place because he began to associate himself with the Philistines who were the enemies of Israel and whom God had raised him up to defeat. Because he was out of place he was also out of position to be the best representative for God in delivering Israel. Note that one by one certain people entered his life that had a major impact in his downfall.

Judges 14:1-2 - Then Samson went down to Timnah and saw a woman in Timnah, one of the daughters of the Philistines. So he came back and told his father and mother, "I saw a woman in Timnah, one of the daughters of the Philistines; now therefore, get her for me as a wife."…

Out of place –

Seeking out relationship in wrong places will always bring a person down and out of position to respond in the proper way. Scripture declares to be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers, to come out from among them and be ye separate saith the Lord and touch not the unclean thing and I will receive you (2 Cor. 6:17). Those that are born again should not seek out relationship with those that are not because they have nothing in common. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers:

for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?(2 Cor. 6:14). Well what if two people are married before becoming born again and some years go by into the marriage and one person receives Christ as savior while the other does not? Is the believer out of place and out of position? The answer is no because they did not enter the relationship unequally yoked, but God has a place and position for the believing spouse in such a case!

1 Corinthians 7:13-14 declares and a woman who has an unbelieving husband, and he consents to live with her, she must not send her husband away. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband; for otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are holy.

The believing spouse should remain in place and show the love of Jesus to the unbelieving spouse from the position and point of reference of spouse.

  • Out of place people make demands that from Gods perspective they have no authority for because their position dictates they do not.
  • Samson is the child making demands from his parents so he is not only out of place, but also out of position to make the demands he is trying to make. From Gods perspective children are to obey their parents in the Lord (Ephesians 6:1)

Samson found himself out of place and in a position that he should never have been in when the introduction of a new person entered his life.

Judges 16:1-2 - Now Samson went to Gaza and saw a harlot there, and went in to her. When it was told to the Gazites, saying, "Samson has come here," they surrounded the place and lay in wait for him all night at the gate of the city. And they kept silent all night, saying, "Let us wait until the morning light, then we will kill him.”

“Out of place relationships often place people in positions that God never intended”

When Delilah saw that he had told her all that was in his heart, she sent and called the lords of the Philistines, saying, "Come up once more, for he has told me all that is in his heart." Then the lords of the Philistines came up to her and brought the money in their hands.

She made him sleep on her knees, and called for a man and had him shave off the seven locks of his hair. Then she began to afflict him, and his strength left him. She said, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" And he awoke from his sleep and said, "I will go out as at other times and shake myself free." But he did not know that the LORD had departed from him.…

  • Samson broke his covenant relationship with God because of one person

Never introduce anyone into your world who does not respect the things of God

  • Samson lost his vision because of one person

Amos 3:3 asked the question can two walk together except they be agreed? The answer is no so guard your God given vision and dismiss the person who can’t see what you can.

  • Samson lost his strength because of one person

People who always steal your joy maybe should not be in your inner circle because the joy of the Lord is your strength

  • Samson was separated from those he loved and that loved him

Many times a wrong person will isolate family and friends

  • Samson wasted time and died prematurely because of one person

God can and will redeem time

THE ONE PERSON IS DELILAH!!

Anything position ally out of place will not function

Everything has a proper place to function effectively. Automobiles must have every part in place to function, toys must have everything position ally in place to function as the manufacturer intended and People must be where God wants them to be to function effectively. Satan’s intent in introducing a person is to keep another out of position and place While God intends to put people back into their proper position and place so they can function in the purpose and plan of God for their life. Samson’s life began to function again when God introduced a person to put him back in position and place.

Judges 16:25-26 - It so happened when they were in high spirits, that they said, "Call for Samson, that he may amuse us." So they called for Samson from the prison, and he entertained them. And they made him stand between the pillars. Then Samson said to the boy who was holding his hand, "Let me feel the pillars on which the house rests, that I may lean against them."

  • A person in the will of God will function effectively in the life of one who is a Christian
  • A selfless person will function effectively in the life of one who is a Christian
  • A person who does love will function effectively in the life of one who is a Christian
  • A person who is obedient to God will function effectively in the life of one who is a Christian
  • A person who is willing to wait on the Lord will function effectively in the life of one who is a Christian
  • A person who is willing to give of themselves will function effectively in the life of one who is a Christian
