You Are This Place Called Love

Updated on January 24, 2012

"I am often accused of being childish. I prefer to interpret that as child-like. I still get wildly enthusiastic about little things. I tend to exaggerate and fantasize and embellish. I still listen to instinctual urges. I play with leaves. I skip down the street and run against the wind. I never water my garden without soaking myself. It has been after such times of joy that I have achieved my greatest creativity and produced my best work." —Leo Buscaglia

"There are children playing in the streets who could solve some of my top problems in physics, because they have modes of sensory perception that I lost long ago." —J. Robert Oppenheimer

The Multi-Dimensional Being

Greetings friends. This message is tailor-made for your soul. Your soul will understand this message perfectly. However, your mind may attempt to over-analyze it to death. Your mind likes to compartmentalize things.

Things of this nature have to go here. Things of that nature go over there. The mind also likes to put labels on things. This person is this. That person is that. Your mind thinks in a linear fashion.

However, the universe does not operate that way. The universe is multi-dimenstional. And you are too! There are no limits to what you can be, do, or have. You were created by loving creator that is unlimited in every sense of the word.

But do you know that you are a creator as well?

What Are You Feeling

Your thoughts are creating your reality. They are also having profound effects on the world. These effects can be positive or negative. If you are thinking negative thoughts and are in negative emotional state, then you are putting this out in the world.

Have you ever walked into a room in which there were people arguing? Were you aware of the feelings that you felt when you walked in? Did it feel heavy? Did you feel drained? These feeling may be different for everyone. Those that are sensitive may experience this in a more intense fashion.

Now, what happens when you walk into a room in which there are positive emotions being displayed. How do you feel when you walk in? Does the energy feel much lighter? Does it make you feel better? Do you feel uplifted? To solidify this, let me share a negative and positive encounter that I had.

The Negative Storm

Many years ago I use to deliver pizzas. It was a pretty easy job, but there were a few occasions when this wasn't so. And on this one particular night, the deliveries were taking about two hours to be delivered. The average delivery time was about forty five minutes, and I was quite surprised that many customers were not making a big fuss. Instead, many were understanding of the long wait time. However, this soon ended when I tried to deliver my next order.

When I rang the doorbell, the customer answered the door and said, furiously: “Not now! Not ever!” and slammed the door in my face. This almost sent me over the edge. I could understand the man being angered for having a late pizza, but did I deserve the door being slammed in my face? I went from feeling calm and content to feeling outright rage. However, my emotional state changed when I arrived at my second delivery stop.

The Transformation

This time when I rang the doorbell a little girl answered. She had a beautiful smile that was made of pure gold. You could also see this smile radiating from her eyes. It was more than obvious that she was aware of her soul. She was not trapped in ego.

And before I could speak, she said “hi.” I smiled back and asked for her parents. Her father arrived shortly and paid the bill. I thanked them and apologized for being late. They did not seem to mind that much. They understand that we were very busy.

I was in utter amazement of what just happened. That little girl’s positive emotional state relinquished my anger. It was like somebody switched on a light. I went from rage to being joyful and appreciative. Why you ask? This might surprise you. I truly believe it was God smiling through this little girl. She was emitting pure love.

And that is exactly what God is!

The Children Know

Many children are aware of this. However, this often gets buried under many years of negative programming. This could be from our parents, friends, teachers, our society, the media, and so on.

It was more than obvious that negative programming had not reached this little girl. It is truly tragic that we ruin these beautiful souls by putting garbage in their heads. They know who they are. They have wisdom to share with us.

In David Byrne's brilliant song, "Don't Want To Be Part Of Your World, he shares a story in which the children have decided that they are no longer going to be a part of the adult world.

Adults make such a mess of the world!

You think with all the education and life experience that we have that we would know better. In one of the verses, the children share a world that is much different than ours:

"Free from greed and hunger

Free from hate and war

Thousands of them altogether

We are here and there they are"

The song then leads into the chorus:

"Singing, don't want; don't want

Don't want to be part of your world"

Many adults often underestimate their children's wisdom. We let our egos get the best of us:

“What do you mean? My children are not teachers? I’m the parent. I know everything.”

Really? If you do, then why have you forgotten who you are? All those years of programming has left you pessimistic and non-believing.

“Life is not supposed to be fun,” you say. “I have to be a grown up and be responsible. I have to pay the bills for God’s sake!”

I agree that we should be responsible and pay the bills, but don’t you think life is more than just mere survival. Do you not think that you are here for a reason? Do you not know who you really are? There is a part of you that is dying to come out. It has been ignored for far too long.

The Inner Child

Talk to that inner child inside. It has been longing for the reconnection. It wants you to have fun with your life. Go jump on a pile of leaves. Play hide and seek with your children. Draw stick figures on paper. Use your imagination. It is your tool to the infinite. The world is there to explore. You do it with TV. Why not do it with your life? And before we end this conversation, your inner child wants to share a very important message with you:

You are this place called love, dear one.

You are welcome Fennelseed. Children are indeed great teachers. Mother Nature and animals have a lot of wisdom and love to share as well.

Thank you Terry27 for your powerful message of simplistic living - free from over analysed adult crap and confusion. You are so right and our children should be our teachers as they are pure and we (adults) are mostly conditioned and contaminated within the greed driven societies that we create where love struggles to flourish.

I like your writing and look forward to reading more of your hubs. My votes to you and thank you also Epiman for leading me here.

My wife and I plan to visit Canada one of these days. We would like to see Canada by train. Charles de Lint, one of my favorite fantasy authors, lives in Ottawa. Personally, I have heard nothing but positive things about Canada.

      Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks barbergirl. We adults complicate our lives. Children try to remind us that this does not have to be so. Thanks for commenting.

Another well thought out hub. sometimes I envy the world through a children's eyes. As adults we may have experienced more, but children are much the wiser!
