You can have everything... And have nothing ...OR ...You can have nothing and have everything.

Updated on July 6, 2017

Your faith.

What will matter most to us? Wherein lies your treasure? What is important to you? Wherein lies your heart? It is not about what you can acquire. You can have everything and yet have nothing or you can have nothing and yet have everything. It is really up to us. I believe that the extent of your faith can and does have a direct relationship to the fulfillment and happiness of your life. The material leave all of us pretty empty. An inner peace like you have never known can be attained and achieved and it has nothing to do with what you have or have accumulated. It is not what is in your bank account but maybe it is what is in your spiritual bank account that matters. Are you able to see God's plan for your life? That is the real answer. Can you? That is where you will achieve ultimate happiness. Can you see it? It has nothing to do with the material but it has everything to do with the spiritual. Remember in the Bible where the man has so very much that he builds an additional barn to store it. The angel appears to him and states, you fool you are going to die this very night. Can you comprehend that while you labor and lament over material things that in the end NONE of it will matter. Not a single thing. Not even a little bit. It will mean nothing. All that will matter is the level and degree of your faith. Jesus says that faith the size of a mustard seed can move a mountain. A mustard seed no less. Is your faith the size of a mustard seed? I read somewhere that ... A little faith will bring your soul to Heaven but ... A lot of faith will bring Heaven to your soul. This is so indeed true. A lot of faith WILL bring Heaven to your soul. That is truly downright incredible. Actually quite awesome. That is where we need to be. God is so very faithful and good to us. So what will be most important to you in your life? What will be your passion? Will it be a material thing or will it be your faith. God provides for us and even provides for our salvation. We are blessed beyond comprehension yet we go around always wanting, searching and lacking. Can we even understand His magnificent love for us. We certainly do not deserve it yet He gives it to us freely and wholeheartedly. We live in a world that is so self absorbed and self consumed. I read the other day that so far in 2015 more people have died taking selfie pictures than have in shark attacks. Difficult to comprehend but true nonetheless. That is our society in a nutshell. How did we get so far from where we need to be? How did we get so selfish? How did we get so far from God? We need to prioritize what indeed is most important in our lives? We need to understand things in God's way and realize that like the Bible says, our ways are not His ways. We need to strive higher and reach a place where we treat each other at all times with love and respect. Each and every single time. 100 times of 100. We need to place the highest emphasis on our faith and not worry so much about the temporal things of this life. So it actually comes down to temporary versus eternal. It is said that God will provide for our need but He will not provide for our greed. Eternity is a very, very long time. Once again, get this right as it is integral to the condition of your soul. God loves us so we need to live our lives like we know that He does love us. A life displaying the character that He possesses. In doing so we can lead a life by example and achieve an incredible happiness and fulfillment. One that is indeed second to none. Here are some verses which highlight priority:

Luke 12:34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Matthew 23:12 Whoever exults himself will be humbled and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

Exodus 20:3 You shall have no other gods before Me.

Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Mark 8:36 For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world but lose his soul. For what can a man give in return for his soul.

Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

God bless always.
