You Will Fade Away but He Will Never Fade Away
He is forever and ever.
Sometimes my thoughts can wonder to those of us who CHOOSE not to believe. I wonder to myself how can that even be? My heart actually hurts for these people. When God says they will be without excuse He really means it. Jesus tells us that my words will never pass away and I guess that is why we still have and always will have the Bible. Yet, people will always try to find fault with it and they will try to doubt it's authorship and it's authentication. Here is the thing though you cannot change prophesy and history that has been around for many thousands of years and also you cannot change all of the things that Jesus says will happen and they end up happening exactly just as He says they will happen. The temple for instance. Coincidence? I think not! Israel becoming a nation again on May 14, 1948. Moreover, stop and realize the reality of our own mortality. Simply stated, we all someday will stop breathing and will die and we will be nothing left than a fleeting memory. Our legacy will not endure and we will indeed be like the wind. Yet, His legacy outlasts time. Consider that. You will fade away but He will never fade away. No, not ever. Jesus indeed lives and He alone indeed saves. You will be long gone and they will still be talking about Jesus. He is our Savior yesterday, today, tomorrow and forever. I guess it really comes down to hope. From a practical standpoint without Jesus interceding for our sin, we are stuck in it. It would stick to us like glue and there would be no answer for sin and ultimately we would die in our sin and never have any hope of Heaven. There would be no hope of salvation whatsoever. God had to come as a man and be sacrificed for our sin. In Jesus we have the perfect Lamb who is without blemish. He takes our sin away. God not only forgives our sin but He also forgets it. I for one want to spend eternity with Him and be in that number. I want to accept this special gift that only He could provide.
So I am left with praying for those nonbelievers and praying for the fence sitters. You cannot have it both ways. I had heard it said before that if you believe then this world is as bad as it will ever get. Contrarily, if you do not believe then this world is as good as it will ever get. God says you are either for me or against me. There is no middle. He says he has no room for lukewarm people. Try to do things His way rather than your way. He knows everything and even knows you better than you know you. When I pray a prayer of grace I have so many things and so many people to pray for. I ask God to feed the hungry .... Feed them physically and feed them spiritually. There are so many who are spiritually hungry. Maybe you could help feed them spiritually. Here are a few verses to consider. I hope they inspire you:
Revelation 3:16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth.
John 9:41 Jesus said to them, " If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, we see. Therefore your sin remains."
Isaiah 43:25 I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for my own sake; And I will not remember your sins.
Matthew 24:35 "Heaven and Earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away."
John 10:11 " I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep."
God bless always.
