Your Birthday Today April 14th. 7 of Diamonds
The Millionaires Card
Who wouldn't feel lucky being born on a day that creates the potential to become a Millionaire? The 7 of Diamonds does just that! This is the birth card for those born on April 14th~~~symbolic of Values that can lead to Great Wealth, Spiritual Attainment, and True Love.
Remember that Diamonds signify value of all kinds, including money and that 7 is the primary number of conflict between Spirit and Matter. Florence Campbell states in her book "Sacred Symbols of the Ancients" that this is one of the most spiritual cards in the deck. In the conflict between spirit and matter, material success comes when 7 of Diamonds realizes and has faith that all their needs will be met. Unless there is a great inheritance or marriage into money, which frequently happens with the 7 of Diamonds person, they will have to work hard to attain the success that is their birthright. There can be no idleness with this card. Yet, the wealth that this card can bring seldom brings happiness, unless the person is living on the high side of their displacement card, the 9 of Hearts, the card that represents personal disappointment and frustration OR peace and fulfillment through universal love. How we choose to manifest our gifts and our destiny is entirely up to us.
A Few Characteristics of the 7 of Diamonds Person
Early on in life you may change your home frequently or do lots of traveling. Whatever job or career you have should be interesting and versatile because routine gets very boring for you and because of your restlessness you may break away too suddenly, creating future problems.
This card is not protected in legal matters, so be very careful in signing contracts. Also, in cases of inheritance there may be troubles from other beneficiaries contesting the will.
You are willing to sacrifice for love, and you may have to. Florence Campbell calls this the martyr's card. There are some differences in the way this card manifests for men and women.
Most 7 of Diamonds love to entertain and have a circle of friends and family in their homes.
You may be tempted to gamble, but never should as the results can be devastating.
In work, a level-headed partner can be a great asset to you because working entirely alone may bring losses.
Chances are that you are attracted to the water or possibly some profession connected to the sea. I have a 7 of Diamonds relative who had a 20 year career in the Navy, traveling the world on and over the sea, is an expert sailor of his own sailboat, and now has a beautiful pool in his backyard where he swims almost daily for exercise.
7 of Diamonds people are capable of greatness, and often become famous.
Very Unique Characteristics
Robert Camp says that the Seven of Diamonds are from some other planet! They are different from the rest of us in some sort of undefinable way. There is a special group of 7 cards in the deck that are sort of karmically related to each other, called the fixed or semi-fixed cards. These include the 7 of Diamonds, 9 of Hearts, 8 of Clubs, King of Spades, Ace of Clubs, 2 of Hearts, and Jack of Hearts. All people of these cards are strong-willed and stubborn.
The people with these as their birth cards think differently and seem to understand each other, while the rest of us just stare and wonder what is going on. Yet, they are hard working, stable, and can be counted on to keep their word.
The 7 of Diamonds, especially, are some of the most creative people and have the most outrageous ideas. Camp says that anyone who has a 7 of Diamonds working for them is most fortunate indeed.
The 9 of Hearts and 7 of Diamonds are linked together in a way that no two other cards are. They are the "displacement" card for each other and only move into each others position, and no other. This is complicated and beyond the scope of this article, yet I do want to touch on it for the sake of illustration.
The 7 of Diamonds is placed in the Venus-Venus line, one of the most pleasant place to be in the entire matrix, while the 9 of Hearts is in the Saturn-Saturn line, one of the most difficult places to be. While the other cards move around the matrix from year to move, occupying different positions in the planetary lines, these two cards only live in these two places. And if you know anything about astrology, you know that Venus is all about Love and Money, while Saturn is all about difficult life lessons, restrictions, and hardships. So now you can better visualize the conflict that the 7 of Diamonds person has with balancing his or her spirituality and love with wealth-getting endeavors.
Your birth card is not just about your traits and opportunities. It's also all about your Destiny. Everyone want to know what their purpose is and why they're here now. It's very mysterious, yet by tapping into this universal knowledge we can get a better understanding of what life is offering us, personally, and how to turn failures into triumphs. We can seize opportunities that are brought to us each season, each year, and know when to lay low and patiently wait for certain other outcomes.
I have just barely tipped the tip of the iceberg here. These symbolic birth cards are vast and far-reaching. Robert Camp's book "Cards of Your Destiny" describe the strongest influences on every year of your life. For example, as a 7 of Diamonds, if this birthday you turn 25, the influences of your Long-Range Card, symbolized by the King of Diamonds, present opportunities for you to become successful in Business. Camp states that "The King of Diamonds often appears when we are ready to start our own business, (or take a leadership position) and it promises great success if we do...When this card appears, don't let it go to waste..."
Another example would be if you turn 27 today, the 4 of Hearts in the Venus period, beginning June 5th and ending July 27th is an influence for marriage, which this year would have powerful karmic overtones because the 6 of Spades is your Long-Range Card this year. The 6 of Spades is the most karmic of all the cards, and the 4 of Hearts and Queen of Hearts are the strongest indicators of marriage.
How wonderful would it be to be able to plan ahead, knowing when the best timing is occurring for any given purpose? The Destiny Cards can be a great help along your life path.
Birthdates for the 7 of Diamonds
In addition to April 14, there are nine other birth dates for this card.
They are January 20th. February 18th. March 16th. May 12th. June 10th. July 8th. August 6th. September 4th, and October 2nd.
Each one of these dates also has a special twist, so to speak. Your birth date today is ruled by Mars, the planet of energy and passion. You may be impulsive and need to learn to stop and think things through before acting. Like many others who have Mars as their ruler, you also tend to start things and not finish them simply because of being too scattered in your interests and energies.
It would be good to work outside in the open spaces where you can discharge some of your extra energy safely, profitably, and enjoyably.
You should avoid working or becoming a professional in the legal system. This will simply drag you down.
You must realize that neither money nor love are things to be played with.
Some of your best avenues for career would be things like writing, theology, and a financier.
Why Do I Need to Know This Stuff?
Good question! In addition to the ideas of knowing your own destiny and planning important life events, and learning what your purpose is here, now, I have my own special reasons for wanting to know these things. I believe that this is so important to our happiness and human evolution that everyone would benefit by having at least a rudimentary knowledge of these teachings.
Just imagine if you understood why people do the things they do, why they act the way they act, and why they don't do what you think would be good or best for them, would that be helpful to you? I think so. It surely has helped me to understand others, appreciate their gifts and ways, and also it completely takes away judgment! We've all been taught not to judge----"Judge not that ye be not judged"---yet it's hard not to. We often don't understand why others can't "see" what we see.
The great thing about this is the opposite of judgment, and that is acceptance. What a great relief. We no longer have rail against what is when our children or spouse or someone else close to us handles things differently than we do Now we know. You can understand anyone by learning their birth card. Now, instead of saying "I just don't understand why" there is so much satisfaction in saying, "Oh, he's a 6 of Clubs, that's why." We allow people to be who they are much more easily. Everyone is happier.
Also, we learn to accept and appreciate our own selves. We stop beating ourselves up, even if we make mistakes. We accept that even though I want to do this, my talent is for that. There are always new opportunities, and as we learn more about ourselves we can learn what our particular challenges are and work on those.
If you would like to go into depth with this, a great book is Sacred Symbols of the Ancients by Edith Randall and Florence Campbell. This book is out of print and quite expensive if you can find it. The others I have learned a great deal from are Love Cards, What your Birthday Reveals About You and Your Personal Relationships, and Cards of Your Destiny, both by Robert Camp.
