By using the nine year cycle, you can understand what is ahead in the present year. Where the year falls in the nine year cycle will shed some light into where you are in this cycle of your life. If you are in a personal one year, then beginnings will be the focus just like when you are in a personal 9 year, then wrapping things up and endings are the theme.

There is a universal year as well that has an overall energy for everyone. If you look at both your personal year and the universal year, you can get some insight into if they clash or work well together. In other words, will the overall universal year benefit what part of the cycle you are in or will it be more of a challenge.

Calculate Your Personal Year

It's very simple to calculate your personal year. Use your month and date that you were born and add the year that you are wanting to know about.

  • If your birthday is November 11,1964 and you wanted to know about the year 2020 then it would look like this: 11/11/2020
  • Now add all of those numbers together: 11+11+20+20=62
  • Reduce it down to a single digit: 6+2=8

That would mean that the year 2020 will be a personal eight year. And the universal year would be a four. (20+20=40) (4+0=4)

Personal Year One

As you would have guessed, a personal year one is the beginning of the nine cycle. Which would make new beginnings be the theme of the year. A one year is symbolic for starting new things that could have an impact on the following 8 years. It is a great year to start new relationships, businesses, or get engaged. Starting school or creating new good habits are both excellent ways to work with a one year.

Even if you are not wanting to start new things, the energy of a one year will still prevail. New unexpected beginnings will pop up out of nowhere. The energy of both the one year and the nine year are incredibly strong. It is hard not to have any effects from either one.

Personal Year Two

A two personal year is a year of cooperation, development and waiting. This is a year where patience is quite important. Laying the groundwork for the new beginnings from year one. It is also a year to create partnerships. Couples will sense a deeper relationship. Starting to plan for a wedding or trying for children are common topics during a personal two year. A two year gives you the energy to start developing what you have started or wanting to start. Doing research and getting the ball rolling.

If you have a personal two year and a universal one year, then you could have two full years of new beginnings along with developing them. It would make for a very busy and eventful year. It could help the development move a little faster or it could cause distractions.

Personal Year Three

Getting out into the social scene will be the energy of a three year. This is a very fun and social personal year. You will be meeting up with old friends and possibly a new love comes into the picture. You have been working hard on creating new aspects into your life for the past two years. Taking some time off and relaxing is the perfect way to celebrate a three personal year.

A caution to a three personal year is that it is easy to become frivolous with finances. Having fun is always needed but it is important to keep your goals in mind. Impulsive decisions can get out of hand along with risky behavior.

Personal Year Four

It's all about getting back down to business in a personal four year. Nose to the grindstone and slow and steady. A four year is when you are in the cycle of getting things done. An organizational year where you will be looking at your budget and what steps need to be taken. The essence of the frivolous three year is long forgotten. The four year fixes any mishaps that happened last year by making stern adjustments. This year will bring to light what is working and what is not working anymore allowing you to shift your energy to something that feels right. A four year can be frustrating because you will feel like you are not making much progress. It is a slow moving year where you fix one thing and then something else pops up. Tying up loose ends and doing an overall reorganization should be a focus for a four personal year.

Personal Year Five

Major change happens during a five year. It is a social year where you will be meeting new people and making new connections. A five personal year brings a responsible fun and free attitude. You have created some free time from the work that you did last year. You are reaping some of the rewards and breathing a sigh of relief that it is behind you.

It is also a personal year for major changes. This could be the year that changes happen with your family, career or residence. Unlike the three year, a five year has the energy of more responsibility when decisions are made.

Personal Year Six

A six personal year brings peace and harmony. The six year brings family and relationships to the front. Not a very productive year for finances but a very rich personal year for family and loved ones. There might be more responsibility that has to be taken on because of a family member however, in the end you will see that it was worth it.

It is not a year of accomplishments but it is a year to make adjustments to whatever projects that you are working on. A six year is also a good time to finish some small projects that you have started the last couple of years. Things will seem to move slowly throughout the six personal year. It won't feel like you are not making progress however, it will seem like things are moving at a snail's pace.

Personal Year Seven

A personal seven year is a time of reflection. You will want to detach from the outside world and go inside and reflect on the previous years. Not as much a year of action as it is of taking a step back and evaluating. Your thoughts are clear during this year which makes conveying your ideas through writing very easy for you. This is the year to study something new or research something that needs to be investigated. You will be sharp with your analytical skills, Refining your skills during a personal year seven would be very successful.

Personal Year Eight

You are at your peak when you are in a personal eight year. All of your hard work from the previous years are finally getting you the recognition that you having been waiting for. This is a fabulous year that brings promotions or awards. This is a big year for major achievements and advancements. You will be dusting yourself off from the previous introverted year and stepping into the lime light. Activity is constant and you could find yourself branching out in many ways. Putting your name in the hat for a promotion or taking your transcript to a publicist would be beneficial to do during the energy of an eight year.

Personal Year Nine

The final nine personal year brings the gift of completion. The projects that you had started at the beginning of the nine year cycle has either come to a completion or no longer needs as much time or effort.

This personal year also brings endings to things that no longer serve you. You will be taking inventory and a removing what is not working anymore in order to change directions. Clearing up anything that needs to be taken care of is a must do during a nine year. Make room and get ready for your next nine year cycle of new beginnings and adventures.

If your personal year and your destiny year are the same, then the energy of that number will be even stronger.

Your destiny year is calculated by adding your complete birth date and reducing it down to one digit.
