Your Attitude Determines Your Altitude

Updated on December 12, 2012

Winston Churchill said of attitude as the little thing that makes a big difference. The right disposition towards people around you in words or deeds is necessary to having a healthy and well balanced relationship. You can determine the outcome of a relationship from the beginning when the right tone is set. That tone is your attitude.

It has been said over years that "Your attitude will determine your altitude in life". Yes, your attitude will determine the course of your life, the journey you travel on and the results you yield at the end of the journey. Yes, your attitude developed through imitation right from the womb or acquired from friends, families, colleagues, idols, environments, work place and many other ways will determine your success and greatness in life.

Imagine meeting a gorgeous lady, dressed in the finest attire, eloquent in her words, with a perfect physique yet with a stinking attitude. Also, Imagine a registered company with a great name, great presence in the world, and with great marketing strategies that attracts the right client to their business yet disappoints with a poor customer service. Imagine what your response will be with these two scenarios.

Your attitude will determine your altitude and a man or woman who struggle with his attitude will struggle with important elements of life that must lead him to his altitude in life. Whatever it is that drives you to acquisition of anything is not the greatest achievement in life but the right attitude to everything and everyone in life. You are frustrated in the situation you are in today because of your attitude to the situation and it started right from the early stage of your life.

As we embark on this new journey this week, let us adopt the right attitude to our friends, neighbours, colleagues, workers, employers, businesses and to everyone we come across, every relationship or friendship we find ourselves in and more importantly our relationship to our maker, our creator, the one who moulded us out of nothing, HE has made us somebody out of nothing, record how far your positive or negative attitude takes you this week and determine to change the world around you.
