Ultimately, only God will know. From the scriptures we can tell that he did not make it to heaven because he didn't repent. Before he betrayed Jesus, Jesus said, "Thou hast a devil." A devill cannot keep us from going to heaven, but Judas was one of the chosen twelve.
According to the scriptures, Judas had divorced himself from Jesus and went after money. This, in itself, says that he went into hell.
Many choose Judas to talk about generally when speaking of betraying the Lord. Peter betrayed him three times, which is more than Judas did, but Peter repented, which Judas did not do.
