Do you believe that Christians are commanded, by God, to tithe?
Yes, and it was actually commanded by God through prophet Malachi in "Malachi 3:10"...
not in the least. it's called delusion and that is what religion is about. whether it is christians, muslims or whatever, the answers you recieve from god come from your own mind.
Yes I do. Christians are required to honor God with the first fruits of their labor. God expects only ten percent of your labor. In giving back a portion of all God has allowed you to acquire; you inadvertently shower extra blessings on yourself and on your family.
yes check the bible Malachi 3:10. it was commanded by God
We must not disobey him.
Not at all. All of these Christians that pick and choose their doctrine.
On one hand, Jesus was the fulfillment of the Old Testament, so all of the commandments are no longer applicable, but the tithing one is. How is that conveniently possible?
Then on the other hand, they use the scripture on leaving the corner of the field for the poor to pick through themselves or they use the scripture of not muzzling the ox that plows the field.
If you leave the tenth of the field to the poor, then why do they give it to their wealthy pastor that lives better than 99% of them in the congregation?
If they do not want to muzzle the ox that plows their field, that ox plowed the field when preparing for seeding, not when harvesting. It does not relate to the pastor(s).
In Acts, they did not have such crap where ministers became wealthy by taking money from their poor parishioners, because they had no parishioners. Today's system is an abomination to the Bible.
I do but maybe not money in all cases. Sometimes working at the church or doing things in the community could be considered tithing
Yes! The Bible has several things to say about the importance of tithing:
Give a tithe of everything – Genesis 28:22
Bring all your tithes into the storehouse – Malachi 3:10
Set aside a tithe from what you earn – Matthew 27:30
My pastor describes it as sowing back into what has been given to you.

Do you tithe as God's word encourages us to? A 10% off the top?Did you know that only 5 - 7 % of evangelical Christians follow this Biblical principle! Do you think that this could be a huge reason as to why much of the prayers of the believers are NOT being answered, and many are sick, diseased,...
