   The Biblical Creation story is allegorical. Taken in literal convention, it's senseless - allegorically though, it accomplishes what it was meant to in the first place. Of course, I speak of my own take on Judeo-Christian mythology - out of my personal certainty as to its clever allegorical validity - but I'm no expert by any means. I think the presence of "God" before Creation lends itself to a correct understanding of what "God" is meant to describe, which I do not believe to be something that in any way exists independently of Creation itself.

   Dinosaurs are mentioned in the book of Job.  The book of Job is the OLDEST book known to man.  Job 40: 15 says, "Look now at behmoth, which I made along with you.  He eats grass like an ox.  See now his strength is in his hips...... he moves his tail like a cedar."  Then in chapter 41, it mentions the ocean creature called Leviathan.

   They dont. The biblical story is , one a translated version( King James Version) of the old testament the Hebrew bible. Second tyhe bible is full of stories that were written by civilizations that pre date the bible. Like Noah's flood which is found in the Epics of Gilgamesh written by the Sumerians earths oldest know civilization. No dinosaurs, behmoths and leviathan  describe large creatures but know as large as dinosaurs.

   Dinosaurs was true as said in the Bible, and the Bible was also true. Is any men before 2000 plus years can say that the earth is round that hang upon nothing? Is any men before 2000 plus years can say the knowledge shall increase? Is any scientist can said at the year 800 BC the earth was the old of all planets, etc.. NO ONE BUT GOD!

   Chapter 40 of Job in the Bible, best describes a dionsaur like animal that is called a Behemoth. Which means, a kingly, gigantic breast.
   These animals were created to eat plants, just like Adam and Eve. I believe in the beginning these were gentle plant-eating animals, who co-existed with other animals, as well as, humans. Their reason for being could be to carry heavy loads. That is my opinion about that fact.

   Wow, jangaplanet, what a loaded question....lol  I shall, however, in all sincerity, attempt to answer it.  It all boils down to how one interprets the biblical story of creation.  If the belief is that God did in fact create the world in six, 21st century, calendar days - and approximately 6000 years ago, then dinosaurs do not fit into it at all.  If one has been educated about Scripture by solid and prayerful and honest teachers, they understand that Scripture is a mixture of many things - metaphor/allegory, literal truth, and coded writings (dependent on who was writing God's word, when they were writing it, and for what purpose).  Therefore, if to God a day is as a thousand years, creation itself took six thousand years - and then God rested for one thousand years.  Behemoths and Leviathans are mentioned in various places in scripture.  So, I take it that means they existed (which science has supported through the discovery of fossils, etc...)  I hope that's a solid answer for you.

    They existed in the first world that was destroyed by water along with the cave man and a lot of other species that was not carried aboard the ark.Only certain animals was saved to repopulate the earth.

    The word "dinosaur" wasn't invented until 1841 A.D. The Creation story was written in about 1,500 B.C. But, in Job the words Behemoth and Leviathan are used to describe certain creatures that we would call dinosaurs in one way or another today. Not every single creature is named in the Creation story but rather categories, like birds of the air, creeping things on the earth, etc.
