I stopped counting! Drank the water, and ate the food, and it would be moldy by now if I hadn't ! lol

too many to count. this one does sound a little more plausible. I do not think the end of the world but some devastation.

Must be in the hundreds.  We only hear about the bigger ones, the 'prophesies' which become known on a world-wide scale.   There are, of course, the many smaller religious groups who are always predicting the 'world will end on...."
You even see cartoons of such behaviour.

I have no doubt this question will bring forth the myriad 'bible bangers' who follow Hubpage Questions pertaining to Religion & Philosophy who will put forward their various quotations.   Who is to say whether they're right or wrong.    The date of Armageddon is always being shifted forward when the predicted one has arrived and nothing much has happened.

This is my second for the 2012.

But I have heard others saying it is more than that. When it comes, we will know.

Yeah - well content writers knows what sells.

The thing about 2012 has already happened  - a conjuction in the stars.

What's really interesting is the cycle of mini ice ages and warm periods because of the Earth's position around the Sun wobbles a bit but in a definite pattern.

We are supposed to be in a mini-ice age right now but Global Warming has helped us so far.

A few off the top of my head: Y2K, tech crash 2000, 9-11 (WWIII thoeries), Iraq war (WWIII theories), Isreal unprovokingly attacking Lebanon (WWIII theories), stock crash 2008 (world econ collapse, still pending) Isreal unprovokingly attacking Turkish civilian ship (WWIII theories), Isreal typically being Isreal and attacking anyone because they're Goyims (more WWIII theories), Japan nuclear radiation that will kill us all (current), 2012 Mayan calender string theories world comes to an end due to comet crashing into us or a polar shift???

I don't believe anything will happen on 2012 - nothing prophecy related anyway, although I believe the world will end soon - due to humankind's stupidity.

Too many, and I haven't believed a single one.

The world as we know it will end, but I don't believe that anyone knows when.

Conspiracy and drama will never die. I'm sure there will be plenty more before we peace out of this world. It's a shame though that people believe more about what "could" happen to end the world then what is actually happening that is destroying the planet right now.

Let me break this down for you: as many human beings that was born and died since the last century which will be from March 29, 1911 A.D. to March 11, 2011 A.D. I would say about hundreds of millions if not then more into the billions of doomsday scenarios. The doomsday scenarios ends with every single human being death on the earth. You only need to prepare yourself ahead of time before your death and be ready to go on to the other side of death at any moment. I was given a sneak preview by GOD in a vision of the other side of death. It is glorious. You do not know when you are going to die so now is the perfect time to prepare for the doomsday scenarios. I would take this advise seriously because I have seen and experienced the other side of death on August 1, 1982 A.D. a Sunday morning. Thank you.

The one I remember the best was a book that came out back in the late 80's called. 88 reason why Jesus would return in '88. That was a big craze around my home town.
