Depends on what negative emotions I'm feeling. I normally catch myself and focus on the positive. Others call it giving stupid reasons. For example when I'm waiting for my order at a fast-food restaurant. There was a long line that I waited in and they brought out the wrong order. I've been waiting for fifteen minutes until I finally get to eat. Instead of getting upset, attempt to make sense of everything. Why were they late? It is lunch time and they are very busy. Also, you don't know if the worker has been here for seven hours or just for one. Cut them some slack. They didn't ruin their day so you shouldn't ruin theirs.
