    If you were in the time of Jesus, would you believe him to be the Messiah?

    Of course today, many believe that he is the Savior.  But if you were living during His time, would you you see him as the Savior or will you be one of those doubting him? Obviously this is for those who have faith in Jesus..

    Well, I have to blame most of my own skepticisms on my being a product of the modern world, and given that I accept him despite these, I can only assume that being a product of the ancient world and an eye-witness to such miraculous events would put me firmly in the "believing" category.   Interesting question to ponder jpcmc!

    This is such a good question.
    It really made me question myself.
    I would like to be able to say yes as I have a strong belief in God now.But sadly in that time I am not sure what would have done.

    If it were to happen now I believe I would have the strength to stand up and believe.

    But back then things were so different.

    That's a great question. You know people in those time are actually expecting a political Messiah. One that would free them from the Roman rule not one born of a mere carpenter so its kinda hard for them to believe in Jesus as their Savior. On the other hand, based on the authority and boldness of his words and his miraculous deeds, I suppose I would believe in Him as I do now.

    The prophesies fulfilled in Jesus:
    Isaiah 7:14, born of a virgin'
    Is 11:1  the stem of Jesse;
    Zechariah 9:9 - O daughter of Jerusalem behold thy King cometh unto thee riding upon an ass;
    Zech 12:10 -I will pour upon the house of David and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem the spirit of Grace ..they shall look upon me whom they have pierced;and the miracles performed by Him would have caused me to reason out that this is the Messiah.

    being an athiest i would like to say that i wouldn't believe in him but i'm also a realist. if i saw him walk on water, feed thousands with a loaf of bread and a fish, heal a sick person without medicine etc., i'm pretty sure i would believe in him.

    In one simple and plain word "YES" to both questions.

    I believe in Him now so I most assuredly would believe in Him then.

    This is a question that I have spent time dwelling upon.......

    It would be so easy to jump up , wave my hands, and say , "yes".......

    In reality, I do not know that I have any more personal strength or resolve than those who went before me.

    Perhaps, this is why WE need Him today..........He carries our weaknesses as well as our sins.

    John 20:29 Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen me, you have Believed. Blessed are those who have not seen, and have Believed.”
    Definitely I would believe as Jesus was practicing HIS Miracles and above all HIS knowledge, there's no question to believe HIM.
