How can you tell one that they don't know what they know?
we all know less than one tenth of pne percent about anything just like Thomas Alva Edison said. What a person knows is often not what they believe so it bcomes a juxtaposition of human confusion. what one know is primarily what they feel to be true as associated with their life experience. WE remember bad things much more clearly than we do good and we never really know what anyone else knows so we now turn to the objective and subjective and as a therapist I am not about to get started on that lol
You can't. Human psychology is a very delicate, sometimes dangerous thing. Many people profess to know things that in reality, they don't.
Regardless, it isn't anyone's job to tell another that they don't know something. It's good to respectfully refer to facts that cause the person to think critically and evaluate things on their own.
They will find out on their own, leave them alone--you will only hurt your own cause.
You can not. Oh sure, go ahead and try, and with enough effort you'll KNOW something.
If you know how to read body language then there is a possibility of knowing when a person tells you something that he does not know.
Or if you can read face expression then you will be able to analyze if the person is telling the truth.
All these will require years of experience to detect though it may not be fool-proof but at least you have a chance to know the truth.
could it be they don't know enough. Maybe they do know within the capacity of their knowledge and not the insight to see more. Just a thought.
You can't. But you can help them by opening up ideas and facts and things to them they otherwise would not see like documentaries, be a positive influence, btw how are you jack?
Just tell em.... but I have a funny feelin that they would still not know that I know what they dont know
I don't think I can add to the great answers already given, except with one observation: can you be sure that you know what they don't know?
It's takes years to learn truths. First ask yourself if you are clear on what you know. Be open minded , search and research it..
The reason there are so many churches is because people feel they have the Truth and others don't.
I don't think people teach false doctrines on purpose but because they themselves don't know have truth.
In Matthew 22.29, Jesus answered a question by saying to the people, You err because you do not know the scriptures or the power of God. People are taught so many different things and they believe them because they do not know the Bible and what the Bible teaches.
Anyway..write hubs on what you know and use the forums,
that way you're not pointing your finger at anyone.
There are people who will never understand.
thats a tricky one. is it important to you or them that you tell them? are you telling them for selfish reasons? are you telling them so they wont be hurt emotionally or are you telling them to "put them in their place"? ask and answer these questions and decide whether or not its as important as you think and if you are doing it for you or them.

Hi everyone,Here's a thought...We have been taught to speak the truth, but it is right to do so in the cost of hurting/harming someone? Especially if that someone is a person we care for? It is one of the biggest dilemmas, what do you think?

How important is telling the truth in a relationship? Should I tell the truth about every detail?Certain truths are better left untold, but how much should I tell in order to safely grow the relationship without hurting my partner?

So I have a six-year-old daughter who constantly lies. It has gotten to the point where I can't believe a word that comes out of her mouth. I've tried very hard to teach her how important telling the truth is and that it is a safety issue, but nothing is helping. I've just set up an appointment for...
