Would you choose freedom over security or vice-versa?
For instance, risking danger by doing something for fun, like going out late at night (would you choose the freedom to go out late, or would you feel the risks are too great?) freedom or security?
freedom in a heartbeat. the problem is so many people are scared of their own shadows that they have given governments the right to take away every ones freedom in the quest for security. in my opinion, most countries these days have almost no real freedom and were like little puppets, controlled almost completely.
I would choose freedom and then work on ways to provide security for myself. I wouldn't want someone else to determine what would make me feel or be secure...that imposition would be too restrictive.
Freedom. I think believe are overly afraid nowadays and fear-mongers in the media and government don't do anything to help the situation.
Freedom.
And we face the threat of great tyranny--far greater than that perpetrated by Hitler and his cohorts.
We already have restrictions on travel. The US Congress is right now considering restrictions on our communication (the Internet). Perhaps in a few years it will be restrictions on our commerce -- computer chips for ID and finances -- the "mark of the beast" found in Revelation. Each twist a seemingly "necessary" step toward greater "security"--the security of tyranny.
