The presence, or absence, of a goddess in a religion has absolutely nothing to do with atheism. That religion may seem a little sexist, but ultimately they still believe in some kind of deity, where as atheists don't believe in any. And, as for fairness, religion has proven again and again, that they are less concerned with equality, and more concerned with whatever their holy texts say (regardless of how contradictory or oppressive it may be today). But that doesn't necessarily make atheism more accepting or fair. Since atheism is not a unified religion, but rather a description of someone who does not believe in deities, their individual beliefs can vary wildly.
