   Considering the recent news of the Iranian pastor who faces execution for his faith;  What or who are you willing to die for?

   I don't think dying for something that doesn't have proof to be real is rational or sane really. I hope no one would do such a thing.

   Hey, J was an H, suicide bombers and mass murderers actively seek to kill themselves as they inflict misery on others.  A Christian doesn't seek to die but accepts it if it must be. He does so with grace.
   
   If the time should come I trust the Lord will give me strength and resolve to endure.  A reliable test of how prepared a person is to give his life for Christ is how he reacts to loosing his parking space or some other minor daily inconvenience.  If you can't handle that with grace, I doubt that you'll credit your Savior if your life is demanded of you.

   A beautiful question , the likes of which I posted on the forum. When you believe in the Most High God and you know there is nothing living or dead to take away your belief, or persuade you otherwise , I guess death is actually a victory.

   No, absolutely not, I refuse to die for anyone that I don't believe in. I would, however, die before I renounced what I do believe in.

    I would hope and pray to not be in such a situation for myself or anyone, but had I been I would pray for the strength and love and faith to gladly die for my Savior!

    When will I die? When I do die, I have hope in Christ, I hope Christ was at the center of my life when that time comes. Therefore I will have died in the belief of Christ and of the promise of resurrection. The book of Romans says in chapt. 8, verses 7&8 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
    If we die in that faith, nothing can separate us from Him Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

    I agree with petenali! Dying for someone you love and who loves you is the easy part. Living a life that they can be proud of is something totally different! We fail Jesus every day, yet He NEVER fails us.

    Jesus Christ died for me, shouldn't I also die for Him? Of course I'm willing to die for Jesus. There is no more noble cause, no higher honor than to die for our Lord and Savior. However I would hope my death to be quick, and not the result of horrific torture. That would definitely scare me, to be completely honest.

    I would put my life on the line to protect my family and even a damsel in distress. But, I would consider it the greatest of honors and an incredible blessing to die for Christ. In fact, I can think of no better career move, than to die for Jesus.
    
    As the Lord has said, "Be thou faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of life." And, "Blessed in the eyes of the Lord is the death of his saints."

    If we as born again Christians tell the world the truth, in wrong places and in a wrong time, then we might proceed to heaven very fast, without dying spiritually. But if we shut up and are afraid, and live a few more years without obedience to Jesus, then how can we say we are servants of God?
    
    John the baptist was executed, because he told the truth. But still he lives forever. Apostle Paul was executed, because he told the truth and didn't shut up. He is also living forever. And the first martyr, Stephen, was stoned to death, because he told the truth about the evil people. But he lives forever. Actually, most of the apostles was executed in a way or a another, because they told the truth to the world. So did our Lord Jesus Christ. But they all live forever. God ressurected them all, through the Holy Spirit.They have a lot better life now than we have here.
    
    "For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's." (Rm.14:7,8)

    Tough question. I am not a christian but I would die for my faith Krsna Consciousness.  I am far from perfect, but I believe if something is truly a core belief then it is word dying for.
    I would like to believe that I would die to save other people because I consider that noble and courageous.

    Bravo to the non-religious for expressing themselves. It's too bad they received negative feedback for simply answering the question honestly, as I expect this to also get negative feedback.
    
    I, much like them would not die for Jesus. I would die protecting my family and loved ones, and I would risk death standing up for freedom of speech and other freedoms, as well as helping a fellow person who might be in danger or hurt.
