The celebration of Easter is about the sacrifice on the cross of Jesus Christ and His resurrection, it is not separate. If you mean the trappings of Easter, such as The bunny and egg hunts, then this is another question altogether, and is another example of how holidays are manipulated for financial gain by unscrupulous business folks, who take advantage of other peoples religious ceremonies. They deliberately change their true meanings, and over time, it becomes so accepted by the majority, that there are not many complaints about this falsehood.
By celebrating the death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the cross, his death, and resurrection, we are showing our care and regards to the basis of our chosen religion of Christianity. In our accepting of Christ as our Savior and following Him, we may be saved from the sinful nature of mankind and accepted into heaven to abide with Christ and God, our Creator. Jesus' resurrection is celebrated with great joy and proof that the Lord Jesus died and was reborn, to eat at the last supper with his disciples, further strengthens our devotion to our faith.
