Atheist Logical Fallacies?
What is the worst use of logic that you have seen someone use to attempt poorly to discredit the infinite laws of the universe? (Infinite laws of the universe = God)
I mean - it is absolutely pathetic how people like to believe that 1. atheism equals brains, and that 2. shut up, magical sky friend fool.
The infinite is much too large to comprehend - but the question is, what is the dumbest attempt at "proving the veracity of atheism" that you have seen?
your definition in this graphic is absolutely insulting and no that is not what atheists believe. Perhaps instead of insulting people you should try to get to truly know an atheist and what is in their heart. There are a great many atheists who would be the first to run to your aid if you were in trouble - because they are genuinely kind and wonderful people. Of course your obvious bigotry, if you truly believe what's in this graphic, won't allow you to see that.
Your complaining that atheists disrespect your belief system - yet here you are insulting them in return. Seems less than Christian to me if you actually follow that religions teachings.
The atheists I know that are kind are that way for a genuine reason - because they are period, not because they fear retribution from some being somewhere. A whole lot of us live in your communities and we are silent because we fear retribution from religious hypocrites who are big on being morally superior - when it's convenient for them anyway.
I would trust a genuine atheist over someone who only does good because they believe that God will punish them any day. An atheist who is upstanding and good is that way without a God to answer to - their higher moral authority is within themselves... imagine that!
I've known many atheists none of whom have raped, murdered, robbed, or otherwise harmed anyone... I wonder how that could be? ... hmmmmm.
Thank you for the laugh of the day! Please provide some examples of atheist who have done any of those things. I'm sure that some have but just as they don't speak for the rest of us you certainly don't speak for the rest of Christians (or whatever you are). Would you like it if I compared you to my father who was a pastor yet did almost everything on that list you have up there? A real Christian wouldn't need to come on here for the purpose of insulting an entire group of people. What you are doing is equal to racism.
I answer to me. Even though considering my childhood I could have turned out to be any of those things you listed I didn't because I am capable of using common sense. See I don't need an instructional book for life. I do good just for the sake of doing it. No pearly gates, no earning some forever word, nope just because right is right and wrong is wrong. If you are christian you should call your pastor and ask for some of his time to figure out why you have so much hate for a group you know very little about.
The crusades. The inquisition. The salem witch trials. The pedophilia. The racism. The slavery. The Holocaust. This post. You have no idea what you are talking about, and you just posted this to be inflammatory, just like when some dust finds its way into my throat, I address the dust quickly and move on, barely even takes a thought, although I think even the dust made a better argument.
i one time heard a guy say he used to be an atheist and then he found god. that was one of the dumbest statements i've ever heard.i have always thought that you were at least an open minded person but this question kind of blew me away. what a shock it was to see who asked this question. bummer dude. seriously.
I'm not an Atheist but, I do know many and I can surely say that they too are human beings just like anyone else and for sure they wouldn't do that kind of stuff..
Don't generalize things - EVER! I hate it when people do that no matter whether its against me or not. In this case it isn't but its still generalization which is worthless and this is what leads to conflicts!
And yes, peeples is right in the sense you're speaking for yourself here and not on behalf of others (If anyone thinks that you are speaking on behalf of others they're generalizing stuff and if that's the case read my answer again)
I do agree that the "infinite is much too large to comprehend" for my monkey brain, so that makes me agnostic and not an atheist.
Brian Schell quote; "Whatever your conception is of the Buddha, it’s WRONG! Now kill that image and keep practicing. This all has to do with the idea that reality is an impermanent illusion. If you believe that you have a correct image of what it means to be Enlightened, then you need to throw out (kill) that image and keep meditating" - http://www.dailybuddhism.com/archives/670
Interesting question. I'll ponder it a bit. It is too big for me at this moment.
I am not really expecting to see "the dumbest attempt at proving the veracity of atheism" in this world. But if I stand at the "pearly gates" and watch Richard Dawkins arguing the toss with St Peter I will be seeing it then.
At the same time, I expect to see him and a lot of other Atheists being let into Heaven, after a readjusting of their attitudes. This while many Christians are being consigned to Hell. It is the condition of the heart that saves, not the technicalities of what one believes. There are many good hearted Atheists and thousands of very black hearted "Christians". If I were God, I know which lot I would be letting in and it ain't too many of the Christians.

Probably claiming that evolution debunks God's existence.
History certainly does. Considering we were supposed to of only been around for 2015 years? Come on the world has long proved that we been here millions of years, which debunks his existence and the whole religion surrounding him.
History doesn't consider the fact that civilizations rise and fall. There are tools discovered from 400 millions years ago. Science says we haven't been here more millions of years. Not even Christians think the world is 2015 years old.

What are the most annoying responses Christians give to questions atheists ask?I'm a christian and I think that it would be helpful in ministry, if Christians new a bit more about how atheists felt about a Christian's rebuttal

Atheism only means the lack of a belief in God. Why is it so hard for Christians to realize that we dismiss their religion for the same reasons that they dismiss all other religions? It doesn't make us horrible people, immoral, or mean that we are going to hell. It just means that we think the...

I have noticed that many atheists and anti-Christians (as can be seen from the most active forums on Hubpages), have a huge distaste for Christianity primarily because of the contradiction between there being a loving God and an eternal hell-fire for those who do not do what he wants. From my study...

Name things that Christians think about Atheists that are false. You know what this question is about - let's have another responding question to the other self-ingratiating questions up here; because that is how silly HP has this 'most popular' front page laid out. They SHOULD be actual Hubs that...

Why can't atheist and Christians agree to disagree? Will atheist and Christians ever just agree to disagree?
