Being good will not get you into heaven. In fact, it is impossible to be good. "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one." (Romans 3:10)
"And Jesus said unto him, Why call me good? there is none good but one, that is, God." (Mark 10:18)
Salvation is not obtained through works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians
We cannot earn God's love. He loved us first. "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
God requires nothing of us. He has given us free choice. "I call heaven and earth as witness this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live." (Deuterotomy 30:19)
If you choose life, you will "adulate" God through worship and praise, not because He requires it but because you love Him and know Him through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
