Might Jephtah have spared his daughter?

Judges 11 is he record of Jephtah's ill-advised vow. But Leviticus 27 seems to provides for vows involving persons to be redeemed by the payment of money to the priest. If his daughter were under 20 years old it would have been 10 shekels; if over, 30. So Jephtah not only made a rash vow; he ignored an oppportunity to get out of it?
