Revelation 4:11 of the New Testament portion of the Bible declares that the Lord Jesus Christ is worthy to receive glory and honor and power for He had created all things, and for His pleasure or desire, all things were created by Him.
Therefore, it is not true that the whole universe has no meaning or significance (i.e., purpose). The "Good" Lord Jesus Christ single- handedly created everything, as purposed by God the Father, and confirmed by God the Holy Spirit to give Him (i.e., Christ Jesus- our Lord) pleasure and delight, considering the fact that if we live for Jesus in this world, since His Manhood died for us (II Corinthians 5:14-15), He will share us into the full satisfaction and enjoyment of His very Person as our Eternal Life (I John 5:20) and our All in all (Colossians 3:11), not only in this world, but also on that which is to come, since all createdkinds can only be complete "in" Christ (Colossians 2:10; Ephesians 1:23; Psalm 23:1; Genesis 22:14).
In Genesis 1:1, it is clearly stated that in the beginning, God (i.e., the Lord Jesus Christ- John 1:3, 10; Acts 17:24-25; Colossians 1:16) created the heavens and the earth.
Had Jesus not created the planet earth first before the humankind, where would He place Adam and Eve afterwards.
Where would He place the plants or vegetations as well (which He created prior to Adam & Eve) to nurture or nourish Adam & Eve.
Clearly, Jesus made some order in the creation of everything!
The whole chapter 1 of Genesis has these accounts: After creating the spacekind or the placekind during the timekind, the "Good" Lord Jesus Christ created the elementalkind (which constitute the planet earth), then the plantkind, then the animalkind, then the humankind. The angelkind which is the highest in rank among the createdkinds were created earlier than the planet earth and all its inhabitants, since they were dwelling in the 3rd heaven or Paradise.
