I've heard many people - friends, acquaintances & strangers - allude they would believe if they could find a reason to believe. For those of you who are seeking, what would suffice as evidence of God?

According to HP instratiions, rating a question up or down is not to voice whether you concur with opinion, but rather, if the answer adds to conversation and if the answer addresses the question. I voted up, regardless of personal opinion.
God is sovereign. His ways are higher than our ways. He allows bad things to happen. There is also evil in the world apart from free will. Sin is the issue. We broke God's laws and there are consequences. In the end, everything will be made right.

There is a kind of worm (Cochliomyia hominivorax) that eats into living flesh, including many children every year, causing untold suffering. If god created that worm, then why did it do that?
