How is the church on a whole dealing with or embracing those that are living with HIV/AIDS in 2009?

for instance u hardly hear any speaking of the matter from the pulpit it is still taboo and still consider a no discussion topic

I cant speak for other churches but we support them. We treat them like every one else. That is what they want and need. We are not afraid to hug them or be near them. It is all in the understanding of what HIV/AIDS is all about and getting rid of the myths that people throw around. They are people with needs just like us.

The answer:  They're not; at least not effectively.  The church either wants to give the HIV/AIDS person a bunch of butt pats, or to shun them as horrible evil demons.  Both methods are incorrect.  The church should first figure out how the person contacted the disease.   Despite popular misconception, HIV/AIDS is not just a "gay disease".  It can also be spread via needles (dirty), faulty blood transfusion (rare), rape, or even heterosexual sex.

Once the cause is found out, the church should take the proper steps, but they won't, because the false church is stupid.

I do not know either. I do know that ignorance abounds. As you already said, HIV/AIDS is not a homosexual disease. It is a disease that is contracted through several means. In any case, no matter how a person contracted the disease, if that person is no longer leading a sinful life I see no reason for the church to cast aside anyone. If they are still sinning then the church needs to counsel with them and take whatever action is appropriate. Forgiveness and love is what God is all about. Anyone deserves compassion when they accept the Lord. Even a sinner,( just like you and me, and we are, because no one is perfect) should receive compassion and Love when they need it. Jesus died for us, what are we willing to do? Each day we are guilty of some type of sin, speeding, a curse word, a cross look, losing your temper, gossip, watching something on TV that isn't acceptable, etc... We ask for forgiveness, we go to church and are accepted. It should be no different for a person with HIV/AIDS.

A real church, would have a solution to this entire problem. The major problem, lies within the church, simply because there are so many falsities.
The truth of the matter is, that going by The Bible, is the way to live. Using the Biblical Standards, one can uncover, and deal with anything, and anyone.
