   Because they supposedly pervert scripture, worship Mary, and practice Pagan ritual?

   No Catholics won't go to hell. Even if hell does exist it is the Clergy along with their leader who will definitely go to hell for misleading the sheep of Christ. I feel Catholics who follow Christ and lead a good life deserve forgiveness.

      not sure why you're lump assigning catholic clergy to Hell. The bad ones are the minority, even if they do get the most press; but not all priests are evil, any more than all men are rapists or all women are gold diggers...

   We cannot answer this question. Firstly Catholics are all different, they may practice the same religion, but their faith and their personal theology will differ. We cannot fully understand where anybody stands spiritually. Nor can we judge objectively, or with clarity. Like Jesus said we have planks in our eyes. We cannot play the role of judge, in doing so we are trying to assume God's position. That puts us in a precarious condition when we try to answer this question even if it is just to ourselves. :p

   Is this your belief or is this an objective question? Anyone who has faith and lives a good life, I believe will be ok both in this life and in any other.

      It is neither.  It is mostly an attempt to both feel out the community as well as find hope that there are still people who don't go around condemning anyone who disagrees with them.

   Perhaps some Catholics will go to Hell........but no doubt they will have plenty of company ! Souls are not damned because of their respective religious persuasions!
   Catholics don't worship Mary, they reserve worship for God alone-nor do they practice Pagan rituals,nor do they pervert Scripture.

    we all have sins. and i'm sure that no one has really perfected the 10 commandments. and as a Christian i put my faith on Jesus Christ's saving grace john 3:16. we cannot save ourselves we always fall short.
    
    God is the only One we should worship. I believe that even Mary needs a savior she is human too.
    
    it's really hard to judge if a person will go to hell. let God do the judging. just continue do the works of love and learn to forgive.
    
    actually i'm an ex catholic. after studying the bible i felt that i can't do catholic rituals anymore.

       Jhudah, I believe Mary needs a savior as well!  And also that only God can truly judge who is there.  I wish every Christian to see that.  A lot more would be accomplished if we just focused on how best to love.

       I don't disagree with that.  Faith through grace is the only thing that can grant us salvation.  Works matter however, as they are the manifestation of a true faith.  The Apostle Paul would agree, as would James.

    Some Catholics may, because they're bad Catholics.
    
    Overall, though, Catholics don't pervert scripture, worship Mary or practice Pagan rituals. They're just another different variation of Christianity, with their own specific practices for worshipping God.
    
    and, for the demographic record, I'm a Protestant, with many friends on a variety of spiritual paths, including Catholicism, and married to a pagan, so I have some little frame of reference for answering this.
    
    Trust me- Catholocism is not practicing pagan rites

    Some will. Some will not. Of the some that will, it will probably be a result of their significant imperfections that may have led them to think they were Catholic when indeed they were not.

    Well I can't say who's going to Hell, but I can say this.
    Catholicism is a branch of Christianity. Christians follow Yeshua (Jesus) and believe that people should simply love and respect everyone and anyone. In one sentence, that is Christianity.
    I grew up Catholic and abandoned that branch to simply love God.
    I believe that, Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, or whatever religion is saved as long as they love and respect one another. As long as we follow the spirit in our hearts, that burning inside us that brings us closer to God and truly tells us what is right, I believe we will be saved. Some may argue that people such as terrorists follow their God and only cause death and destruction. I believe that the culture surrounding them has muffled that spirit and dimmed the fire inside them. I believe that it is an invincible force waiting to be unleashed, it has simply been hidden away making it harder for the person to see.
    My last words are to
    Live, Love, and Believe

    Like people of most faiths, I'm sure some Catholics will end up in heaven and some will not.  But if they're accurately follopwing Church teaching it will have nothing to do with them perverting scripture, worshiping Mary (or the saints) or practicing Pagan rituals!

    Some Catholics, if they are not true believers, will be meeting people from other faiths who were not true believers in Hell.
    
    Now, the charges.
    Pervert Scriptures--I use to be a Baptist and Converted to Catholicism about 20 years ago. I do not see that so called perversion. There are four more books in the Catholic old Testament than the Protestant bible. By the way, I was married as a Baptist in the Catholic Church, with my Southern Baptist minister taking part. If there was a perversion of scriptures he would have not done son.
    
    Worship May--Catholics honor Mary as the mother of Jesus and seek intercession from her. Intercessory prayer is something else I learned about in the Baptist Church. You can ask your departed friends and relatives to pray for you (you are asking them in heaven) people often go to cemeteries to talked to loved ones.
    
    Pagan Ritual--I guess you are talking about people allegedly praying to various Saints and standing in front of their statues while they do it.  Catholics have assigned certain areas to various Saints. St. Jude is the Saint of Hopeless Causes. Danny Thomas, the entertainer, asked St. Jude to intercede  with God for him to be successful in his career so he could build a hospital to help children. That is how the St. Jude Children's Hospital came into existence.
    
    Perhaps you are referring to communion, where Catholics share consecrated bread and wine that had been turned into the body and blood of Jesus, just as Jesus did at the Last Supper. He refers to the bread as his body and the wine as his blood. The change from bread and wine to body and blood is not one we as mortals can see or explain. You just have to accept it as a matter of faith.
    
    While you may not agree, or fully understand any of these activities, the are certainly not pagan rituals. The statues that you may see in a Catholic Church are to recognize Mary, Jesus and many of the Saints.
    
    People do light candles in memory of those that have died or those that have special needs. It is a brief gesture. You make a donation to the church when you do that.
    
    Now, explain to me why people will but toys and other items at the site where a child is killed. So that think the child will get to use the toys or hug the teddy bears--of course not. It is something people do to show remembrance and respect.
