When was the last time you got on your knees to pray? Do you share those moments with your children?

Praying can be done in any posture. I do not believe that one should only be praying when kneeling down.

It is the respect one must always take note when doing prayer. Kneeling down to pray is a sign of respect. Lying in bed and praying is also okay to me.

Most importantly other than respect, one should be totally sincere when doing so.

I pray every night before going to sleep.  I don't have any children so the second question wouldn't apply to me.  That is, unless you want to count my dog and horse children, lol!!!!  They are a lot like children in so many ways!  I like the above picture, btw.  That is so cute smile!!!!

Although, my children are now grown; when they were younger, we prayed every morning before they left home for school. There were times when we or they would kneel and pray before bedtime. I continue to kneel and pray as part of my communication with the Father. However, I often pray while going through my daily routines. This picture is priceless! I love it! It speaks volumes to modeling positive behaviors and examples before our children AND pets!

For me getting on my knees keeps me humble, but then there's several times during the day I "Keep in touch" smile  I know I love this picture and I never thought about my dogs praying??????

Sometimes I'm too tired to get down on my knees, but I know the Father hears me regardless of the position I'm in. My children are now grown, but when they were little I prayed and had devotionals with them at night before bed. Great pic!

I think praying on your knees is wonderful and helps you to keep focused, but as quildon says, praying can be done anytime, anywhere and in any position.  I will have to pray while on my knees more often after reading all the comments here.

Yes, I completely agree, because God does not care what our position is when we are speaking to Him!!

Very good question, & I am very happy to answer this!

I was on my knees to pray to Jesus Christ this morning, and will be again later....this is because I always have so many blessings and miracles to thank Him for, and because I know I couldn't breathe, my heart would not beat, and I couldn't do anything that would make any sense at all, without my Savior!
AND....yes, when my four children were growing up, we were always on our knees praying to our Creator, Almighty God, always in thanksgiving, because He is everything.....He is the great I AM!!

It was before I developed osteoarthritis. I used to kneel on the padded rails in church and knelt for Holy Communion. Thankfully my church now serves the sacraments on foot!  I pray while seated in my pew and whenever the need strikes me. Prayer is prayer!
