The battle between destiny and freewill can go on forever. Can we come to a compromise and see how both affect us?

Wonderful thought which adds another dimension to the question - "Why perceive a battle?"
Am also thinking, feeling and searching...
By battle, I referred to the endless debate I have seen whether everything is destiny or freewill!
