"Tit for tat" or depend on God for the result?

If you know some one who had tried to do bad for you , would you like to leave it to God or to punish the person concerned?

Thank you @ Darrell Roberts for your response.

The forgiving aspect to the one who tried to emotionally hurt you is very noble kind of act, for me. If someone practically can do that its very good. As you believe in Karma its most expected attribute.

    Thanks @ d. william

petty probs and retaliation are not the subject here. its like teaching a lesson yourself or wait for the person to get the result of a bad deed themselves. Then trust in a supreme power comes which keeps us grounded.

thanks@ peanutroaster... for your kind response and thoughtful reply.

There are really many possibilities as you portrayed above. What God considers to be 'tit or tat ' is very important aspect of the story. you gave some different points to consider

Depending on a greater force is a sign of humility. Example we rely on the sun for so many things that we now take for granted. We do not worship the sun anymore, for what ever reasons, but the fact is without the sun we will all die.
