It's premature to ponder that. There is as yet no conclusion to the results of the CERN experiment. That evidence of a Higgs boson has been found is speculative, at least at this point. The researchers call it possible, no more.
Physicists themselves dislike the phrase "god particle." It is not used in scientific journals, and they consider it grossly misleading, a sensationalist exaggeration. Its origin is an equally sensationalist book published in the nineties and generally viewed as more science fiction than science.
