1. The supreme being by definition is omnipotent. The concept of the supreme being is marred by the ancient/modern churches definitions and descriptions of the supreme being. The being they describe doesn't make logical sense, because they are trying to make an all encompassing being with no bad side, or the ability to have a bad side. Which implies a being that is lacking.
2. Tough love may sometimes be allowing hardships to befall people that need the hardships to learn and develop, or season. It doesn't mean that just because your Dad let you fall over and skin your knee while teaching you how to ride without training wheels, that your Dad, or God, is bad or that they chose to do evil to you. Being benevolent doesn't mean spoiling you.
3. Evil exists because without evil goodness could not exist.
4. You assume that worshipping earns you special treatment, it doesn't. The only thing you get from "worshipping" is the feeling of peace that usually accompanies the feeling of being connected with God, with someone/something greater than yourself.
