What moment in history would you like to witness?

Example: what would have personally like to have witness or been there for at the time of it happening?

I would like very much to have walked with Yehoshua of Nazareth. Perhaps I wasn't ready back then, but if he were to come through my neighborhood today. I'd jump at the chance.

@lone77star, I think "then" would have been a much better time to walk along side Him, His second coming...He isn't coming to play nice exactly, but I understand your meaning.

...perchance, "they" did find us and weren't to impress.

I think , I am living it now. Life as it is, for sure... a blessing for me and I am quite happy whatever it is. No wish to visit history till the end of future whichever is left for me. Thanks for the interesting question.

I would want to go  back to when the victors marched through Rome after the sacking of the temple.  Find out if they had the ark of the covenant as depicted on the Arch of Titus.

I just had a conversation this afternoon with a friend about what the next 20 years will bring and we talked about genetically altered babies, 3-D printing of houses as opposed to building them and artificial intelligence equal to that of humans and you know what?  I think right now is the moment in history that I want to witness.

@wandererh...I'm with you on the NOW thing. Spiritually speaking for myself, I am not to interested in the future as the rest of the world is. I am already jipped, cause when I was in elementary, NOW was the "Jetson's" like era I was hoping to be in.

I didn't watch many episodes of the Jetson's whenI was young, but I suspect that some of what we have now might not have been in the Jetson's.  smile

@iburmaster...you mean leaning on his desk being "Niele" [knee-eh-leh], meaning nosey in Hawaiian. You'd probably have all the answers to Brad Meltzer's questions he so long wants answered. Look him up, a great writer and conspiracy theorist...

This is the moment in history I would love to have witnessed:

Just minutes after I was born, the look in my father's eyes when my mother first showed me to him.

I would have liked to have been able to hang around when this country first officially became it's own nation. My favorite president ever was Thomas Jefferson, and I'd love to know what was going on in his mind when he worked on writing the Declaration of Independence.

Oh he was a bad ass...one of the nations biggest land owner, and slave owner, and marijuana crop grower, and he shot a man for treason on the White House lawn. "all men are created equal" you think he giggled when he wrote it?

There is no evidence that this event ever occurred.  The story originated in the movie Swordfish.  Historians have poured over the books but have found no proof of it.

Even if it's not true, Jefferson was amazing. Iv'e been to Monticello many times and often wished I lived back then.

never gave the movie much thought...its just that I remember reading on Rodney Cox selling info to the Tories about the security of American shores, and Jefferson was part of the firing squad when Cox was found guilty, and yaddah-yaddah-yaddah.

I just checked it out, monticello.org says they have no record of it. I think it would make a great short story, though!

I want to see the day that this planet goes back to bartering, and eliminate the middleman (i.e MONEY). Awwww...I'm just being naive, that day will never happen, so I'll settle for the rapture. I'm in radical mode right now, so take it easy! HA

@Radikum....well the Rothchilds of Britain is a good place to start with the money trail....and as far as the rapture, you want to witness it or be a part of it?

I would love to see some of the most ancient civilizations, that is not been recorded in history.  China, Egypt and greek are only the oldest civilization recorded in history, there are many ancient cities that are significantly older, some found by archaeologist are over 20000 years old!!!  The one they found in northern Turkey a few years ago, is the size of London and is build over 25000 years ago. I would love to visit one of these ancient civilization (providing they don't practice e.g. cannablism)

I would have liked to see how my ancestors in KMT built electrical generators and light bulbs 2000 years before anyone else. But perhaps that knowledge is lost for a good reason.

No. I am referring to Egypt and the generator that they stole and called an ark because they didn't understand how it worked.
