   Why don't natives know about god?
   
   why don't native tribes know about god if he is real? why do they have to be told about it by religious people?how can these people go to either heaven or hell if they don't even know what your god is?

   Native tribes always have their own religions, surely?  They are persuaded to change to Christianity by evangelists or missionaries.  Sometimes they are pressured to change, sometimes they do it for pragmatic reasons, or sometimes they are so genuinely awed by the material wealth, power and technology of the western arrivals that they think their gods must be stronger.  The history of missionary work and its consequences for the recipients is an interesting and controversial story.

      I agree with Mazzy.  Native Americans do have their own God, just like everyone else does.  They have Mother Earth and Father Sky.

   Surely you have studied anthropology.  Most native peoples are very spiritual and have a belief system that includes a creator.

   The people of the First Nations do believe in God. It is just that they do not have the same understanding or words as Christians for example. Many people of the First Nations speak of God as the Creator, the Grandfather, The Great Mystery, or as the Sioux name goes: Wakan Tanka.
   
   And with that in mind, may Wakan Tanka guide us All.

      I do believe he is talking about natives in South America and so on. Not Native Americans.

   Native Americans had their own Gods, respected nature and lived harmonously with it until people from Europe came and turned their world upside down, forced them to believe in their God and left them homeless without any pride or future.
   
   It stuns me to still read adults talk about heaven and hell as if they were children.

   I believe that it is the teaching that will spread the words of God.
   
   For those who are not aware, it is just that the messenger has yet to spread His words. It is a matter of time when God's words will reach every corner of the world.

   Knowing "about" God is knowledge based on physical continuity (through physical means).
   
   Knowing God is knowledge based on direct means (spiritual discontinuity). This is based upon spiritual awareness. A truly aware shaman or priest will know God without intervention by foreigners.
   
   Hell is a decision. Most people decide not to look and remain in spiritual darkness. Many people think they are their Homo sapiens body.

    Of course they know about God! It may not be in the way that main religions view their spirituality but they do have very profound beliefs that are just as possible as any other belief system. It may well be that we could all learn a thing or two from 'natives' and their way of life instead of our own crumbling, anxiety-ridden society!

    most natives believe in multiple gods folks. i'm talking about the so-called christian god that is suppose to be everywhere, you know that one and only god.Escobana, really , you should think before being a smart mouth. i look up everything before i ask questions.i'm talking about natives like pigmies. yes they have gods but if jesus is the real god why do they have to be told about him?
