It depends on what you are looking for. For me, Biblegateway.com has always been the best. It is very well developed, reliable and concise

If you're looking for a site to point you to specific scripture on all topics, bibleinfo.com is really good. It's broken down into several languages as well.

@janshares, thanks for the link, but I find their dogmatic, literalist interpretation to be errant. They seem not to be reading the spirit of the Bible, but seem stuck in the letter, which can lead to death.

When I think about it, lone77star, you're right. I've noticed that but ignore it when I'm looking for something for general use. I find that I use the site as a starting point to get what I need, then go back to my bibles. Thanks for that.

I'd have to agree with @kenyanXstian. http://www.BibleGateway.Com covers the mainstream spectrum with dozens of Bible versions.

I also like my own two sites for non-standard views that make you think.

    http://www.GenesisCode.Net
    http://www.The-Love-of-God.Com

I think though, that limiting yourself to one viewpoint or another can be dangerous, spiritually. Let the Holy Spirit guide you rather than any one person's or group's dogma or inspiration. Study all thought on the subject. Let God guide you.

So many Christians I've talked to condemn me for believing in reincarnation. Who are they to condemn anyone. They read the Bible with a literal viewpoint which I found lazy and arrogant over 50 years ago, much to my grandmother's dismay. I had stopped being a Southern Baptist. I wanted merely to be a Christian. And I found reincarnation written in scripture, but was puzzled why others could not see it as I could. To me, the reasons for reincarnation and karma seems so simple, especially when you take Genesis 1:26 (and even Gen.6:3) into account.

Perhaps such details are not important. What may be far more important is the humility to discover new things -- to discover Truth -- God's Truth -- not Southern Baptist, Lutheran or Catholic beliefs.

Please don't think that I'm trying to condemn you. I'm not. It's definitely not my place.

But I'm with those others who don't see this as you do, especially given the verses you referenced. They don't say anything about reincarnation to me.

Personally, I find biblestudytools.com to be much better than biblegateway.com - especially the Interlinear Bible part. You can see the original text and meanings of the original words instead of just how someone else interpreted and translated the scripture.

It helps me when I'm trying to understand what a particular verse is saying, and the different translations (I own several different Bibles) don't say exactly the same thing. I can just go back to the original language text and see what that says. It's awesome!

I like http://www.amazingfacts.org/. They have a great selection of free, online Bible study guides. In addition, they have many video sermons to watch. Not to mention, they have a call in radio show where they answer questions about the Bible called Bible Answers Live.

When I am doing online research, BibleGateway.com is the easiest to get to and has a lot of tools.  I wrote my own, simple Bible Study method that I think is very useful for Christians and non-Christians alike and is published here on HP.  There is another source online at http://ccel.us/mears.toc.html Henrietta Mears probably had as much impact on Evangelical Christianity as anyone in the twentieth century with her book on Bible study.  It is online at the web address I posted above.

Other than that, everybody and his brother has a Bible study method available.  Most will have a lot in common.

Thanks for asking the question  and I found quite a lot of information.  I have  heard of Biblegateway.com but I have not delved into it.  I get help not from the website but from the Bible itself and concordance like Crudence and Strong.
