Actually, the closer translation is enduring for the age, not forever.
As the translations clearly imply, God's mercy is as eternal and infinite as He is. These words do, and can, apply to virtually ANYwhere, anyplace in time.
There is no time in the real of Love, so there can be no eternity, but if you believe that these words mean eternaity, than please explain Matt 24:3, I Cor. 2:7, Heb. 1:2, and Lk. 18;30. there are alot more.
