Yes an atheist has read the bible, scary stuff huh? Anyway I've looked everywhere and I can't even see a mention for the need of a priest, bishop, cardinal, monk, or pope let alone the infallibility of any of them regarding religion...so...location please?

Is it not possible to have a civil discussion with regard to religion without the sarcasm? I am not Catholic so I have no idea of the condition of the people setting doctrine for the denomination. Ask a Catholic I guess.
Actually that comment was borrowed straight from a friend of mine who's Catholic (asked him at college about this). Except he's rarely sarcastic so now I'm curious if his question was genuine...
