I'm sorry that you feel this way TimeTraveler2. I agree that life is hard. I agree that there is a lot of greed and distrust in the world around us but it is only 'around' me. I refuse to participate.
I don't participate either, but when you see what is happening you have to be realistic because this is the only way we have any chance of improving our lot!
Thanks for your answer Rebecca. I admit, I have not given much thought to social evolution. I hope the world is just in an 'awkward' phase and we are all on our way to a more spiritual existence.
If we are trapped in our own worlds but can still be influenced by other people's worlds then maybe we're not so trapped after all.
In that sense we're trapped not in our own but other people's worlds.
I usually come to my senses and realize that I move in my own circle. Allowing friends in if they want. My door is opened to friends.
I refuse to follow the crowd.
Thank you Jennty199. The new technologies continue to amaze me. When I was small our phone hung on the wall and we had to go through an operator to place a call! Things have changed big-time!!
........and let's hope we never stop searching!
Nothing specific Laurence. I was hoping for the first thing that came to mind. Some would think religion I suppose but others not-so-much. My mind goes to the unusual like UFOs or ghosts or black holes or.....
I'd like to know if people believe in miracles. Well, not so much if they believe in miracles but if they can describe what might be classed as a miracle. By the way, OGP, interesting q, now a follower! :)
Discovering those gifts and using them wisely is sometimes the challenge. Thanks mdcp!
Thank you DJ. Your answer was well thought out. I'm beginning to get a sense of who you are and I like what I sense. I'm thinkin' we are quite alike my friend.
It takes a life-altering experience to change. A year ago I was told I was going to die. It's complicated. But here I am having faith in tomorrow inspire of pain and disability. Which is just a hurdle.
Thank you wqaindia. I think I'm pretty good at not living in the future but I'm stuck on a few things in my past. I'll keep trying.
I agree Shrikrishnap. There is beauty all around - we just have to choose to see it.
Thanks for answering nafeelpc. We all struggle at times but without the bad times, would we really appreciate the good?
I think we may be long lost sisters or something. Maybe classmates in sorcery school in another life or ghost hunters in yet another one. All except for the God thing. I've seen some awesome signs! Thanks for your answer!
Sometimes I cry over the way the world is. I believe in God and wait for him to either end the world or at least scare us into believing in Him more deeply.
I think it is a part of spiritual progression when we reach the point that it is ok not to have a concrete definition of God. Some people stop there and let life inform their ethic and their joy inspire their hope.
Thanks for responding Larry. Yes, it is a very broad question and I'm hoping we all get some very broad answers. This does not have to be about religion. How about UFOs or Democracy or Hauntings or Same Sex Marriage? There is no wrong answer!
I agree there is no wrong answer. I just hope people respect the rights of other people to their beliefs, and your question does not turn into a debate about one topic. It is a very good question.
