Why do so many believe the false stories churches teach?

why do so many believe the false stories instead of studying scripture as we are admonished to do and see that they do not line up with scripture and are in fact, false?
Yet they are willing to defend these false beliefs without actually knowing if they are true or not..

Well, I don't remember everything I wrote but that's O.K. But it boils down to the lack to people reading the bible for themselves. 98% of those behind the pulpit shove their doctrine down peoples throats and they just eat it up. It's sickening.

There are many reasons.  1)  some people idolize the preacher and believes what the preacher says.  If the preacher says it ... it is the correct interpretation..  2) fellowship by membership.  no fellowship with the one true Living God but a membership in a church - even a Bible teacher church.  3) Quenching the Holy Spirit - not growing after the moment of salvation.  4) Faith in a denomination and not Jesus Christ.

When it comes to religion our minds have a tendency  to be very impressionable. If a story is communicated convincing enough or even satisfies a credence which we want to hold on to.
Its not just the church, but anything that proclaims a higher power
Its best to do your own research

yes and unlike our scriptural command to test all things, if it doesnt agree with what they believe, instead of proving it wrong , usually because they cant, they attack and try to destroy the messenger because they cant prove what they believe

You need to be more specific. Others may believe differently than you, but what makes you right and the others wrong?

    Matthew 23:12
For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

what makes me right.  using scripture in context and putting them together without adding or subtracting to make it say what i want, because all I want is truth, I have no preconceived ideas, nor have i been taught by men,and the Holy Spirit gives it

I wrote it like I wanted it to be.    If i wanted it to be more specifc i would have made it more specific,
The question is about what the scriptures really mean .    There is only one correct answer to that.   as i have told you many times before,  A  real Christian does not care what any man believes, he only cares what God says.   And scripture tells us how to learn that. And i want every one to understand that scriptural truth and be able to defend their  beliefs or change to the correct belief or not teach them.
Contrary to you accusations I do not believe i have all the answers , but the ones I do have are correct and  i can defend them with scripture IN CONTEXT.     If anyone can prove me wrong with scripture IN PROPER CONTEXT , no website or mans teaching accepted,  I will repent and change.   And will do so publicly as I have in the past.
Anyone that tries to teach scripture should be prepared to support their beliefs with scripture taken in context and be willing to discuss it with anyone and to defend it or if proven wrong to repent and change.    I am sick of the responses like  "that is not love"  or " everyone is entitled to their own opinion" and so forth.   Yes everyone is entitled to their own opinion but they are not entitled to use it to lead others astray (whoever they are) when they cannot prove it with scripture.   That is a lie from satan.
I also always tell everyone to not believe me or anyone else until they have proven it to be correct in scripture, which is the scriptural stance.     You dont do that, you expect me to believe what you say and try to discredit me when you cannot.    You have never used scripture to try to prove me wrong, just carefully worded comments.
If that is not permissable on this site then they should not have a forum titled Christianity, the bible and Jesus.
Now in light of all this if you want to disagree with me , go ahead , but use scriptures taken in context and I will be glad to discuss, but your subtle attacks need to stop.    I will not be intimidated.
